ELEVEN

The next day

I went to school and sat on my chair after a few minutes mark arrived in the class and sat on his seat next to me.

Mark: hi

Vanessa: hey

Mark: are you feeling better today?

Vanessa: yeah

I just hope he isn't getting closer to me because he pities me.

The lesson started and the teacher told us to work in pairs. She gave us a long task to finish in the class. Since mark and I are smart people; we were able to finish within the same period.

Mark: do you want to hang out after school?

I just looked at him. Was he even talking to me?

Mark: if you don't want to you can refuse

This time he looked at me straight in the eyes

Vanessa: no, it's just... why so suddenly though?

Mark: why? Can't I go out with my friend?

Vanessa: f-friend?

Mark just smiled at me and I smiled back, But I feel sad. Don't get me wrong; I'm happy to have mark as my friend. But I myself don't know why I am sad.

Maybe I have really started to catch feelings for mark.
