• What are the girl's middle names and why did you choose them? Rosie's middle name is Christina! Rosie actually did not have a middle name until the day she was born! And the day Rosie was born was actually Christina Grimmie's birthday! Shane and Christina were extremely close friends and he was absolutely devastated when she passed a few tears ago. Shane told me that Rosie and Christina shared a birthday and it just felt right that Christina should be her middle name!
As for Posey, her middle name is Claire! I know Shane and I got a ton of flack for not naming Posey after Morgan because Posey shares a birthday with Morgan but Morgan knew Posey's middle name was going to be Claire before Posey was even born. Claire is after Claire Wineland, another close friend of Shane and as well as mine! Claire passed away a year before Posey was born and it was another devastating loss. Since Rosie's middle name is after a special person, we wanted to name Posey after another special person which was Claire Wineland! 👼🏼👼🏼
• Favorite thing about being a mama? 💖 Just taking care of little people and teaching them the little things of life! Watching the girls' faces light up when they learn something new is amazing! Also feeling their love and affection. It is incredible how much love two little people can give you! 🥰
• Is Posey crawling or walking yet? 😍 Not walking but she is definitely crawling! Posey is a fast crawler too so we have to chase after her often! Probably twenty times a day! She also loves to play with the dog and cat food so she always crawls over to the bowls!
• 🎀 Do you love being a girl mom? 🎀 YESSSS! I freaking LOVE being a girl mom! Being a girl mom is honestly so much fun! All of the dresses, hair bows, leggings, shoes and so many other clothing options girls can wear! The girls both love to dress up, especially Roo! I love to match the girls outfits right now while they are young and don't care! I know as they get older they will hate dressing up so I am having fun while I can!
• Weirdest things the girls do? 😂 Rosie is in the "poop" stage most little kids get in some time or another, where she thinks poop is really funny and loves to say it. 💩 She always watches all of the animals poop when they go. Shane thinks it is hilarious and while I think it is funny too but I want her to not say poop 24/7 😂
• How is Shane as a dad? We don't see him being a dad much on his videos! Shane is seriously the best dad ever! I don't know why he doesn't want people to see him as a dad because he is the greatest one out there! Shane is an extremely hands on dad (even with all of the hours he works on videos) and he spoils his girls rotten with toys, love and sweets! Roo and Po are definitely Daddy's girls that's for sure! 👨👧👧
• What is Shane doing right now? Surprisingly, he is actually asleep right next to me and he looks so cute! I don't wanna take a picture because he will wake up and have trouble going back to sleep. But during this quarantine we have been going to bed and waking up around the same time every day and I LOVE it! 😇
• School plans for Roo and Po? The girls will definitely go to public school when they are old enough! Shane and I both went to public school growing up and we want the girls to have the same experience we did and hopefully a even better one! And just because their parents are famous, that doesn't mean they can't have the same experiences! Shane and I want the girls to have a normal childhood despite our youtube "fame"
Roo is actually going into Headstart this August and I am so excited for her! Roo is actually excited too because Eden and Dominic will be in her class! It is only for 3 hours and two days a week but it will be great for her to be around other people besides Shane and I.
• Is Cheeto sweet with the girls? He sure is! Shane and I were both a little scared that Cheeto would scratch the girls like he scratches us randomly but he has never done it!Cheeto did scratch Rosie by accident a few months back when she got too close to him when he was playing with his scratch post and he scratched her arm. But the whole day he stayed right by her side and made sure she was okay! Cheeto may seem evil or mean to adults but he loves the girls!
• I wish my dogs were as cuddly with my kids like Uno and Honey are with the girls 🥺 Aww! I'm sure your dogs will adjust and do well soon! It takes time! Uno and Honey have always been loving towards everybody that comes over to our house! We never had issues with them attacking or biting people. When I was pregnant with Roo, Shane and I played baby noises and baby crying random times through our the day so they got use to baby noises! Shane and I also held a baby doll so they were used to us holding a baby. We did a lot of things like that so the dogs got well adjusted to it before Roo was even here!
• What are the girls' favorite things to do? Rosie really loves to act like a vet! She "checks" Uno, Honey and Cheeto as well as her stuffed animals. Rosie also loves to color pictures, have tea parties and dress up! Posey loves to roll around on the floor! She thinks it is so funny! Posey loves to crawl and get into things! Posey has also been loving to play with blocks! She is starting to stack them and loves to knock them down!
• What are you guys doing during this quarantine? We have been hanging out as a family! We have been going outside and playing a lot!
• How did you have a baby on your own after struggling to get pregnant before Rosie? I am not sure, however I am extremely grateful I do not have any infertility issues anymore! Infertility is extremely hard, full of lots of pain, heartbreak and lots of waiting. Shane and I struggled for almost two years before Rosie was born, so to get pregnant with Posey without any medicine was incredible to us! To me, Rosie and Posey are both miracles! But my doctor and many people have told me that once you have a baby your body just figures out what to do and you can get pregnant easier! I hope you have another baby soon!
• Have you ever felt jealous that Lisa and Shans are still close friends? Absolutely not! Lisa was there for Shane when he was figuring out who he was and she has helped Shane through a lot of hard times! I am not jealous at all with them being best friends! Some exes can be friends you know! Lisa and I are also very close friends as well! She is apart of our family! Lisa is also Rosie's godmother and Lisa LOVES being Auntie Lisa to Rosie and Posey!
• How far apart are Rosie in Posey in age? Roo and Po are seventeen months apart! I would have never thought we would have our girls so close in age like we did but we love it! It is tough at times but we love it 😇
• Are your parents and Shane's parents excited to be grandparents? Omg yes! All five of them spoil the girls rotten and they love to spend time with them! Shane's mom and dad are both over a lot because they live close by but my parents and grandma fly in often to visit with the girls! My grandma loves being a great grandma, she is the only one in her friend group to be one and she loves it!
• Does Posey talk? She does and it is so cute! 🥺 She babbles a lot actually! But she knows how to say Mama and Dada! She recently learned how to say Roo for Rosie and it made my heart melt! 💖
• Another Dawson baby in the future? 🥺👶🏼 We haven't fully decided if we are done or not! I have been having lots of baby fever and so has Shane! We aren't preventing pregnancy. If I got pregnant right now or in a few months, Shane and I would be very excited and happy! So another Dawson baby may come! Find out and see!
