It has to work. I know the risk. That one mistake can leave me catatonic but I don't want to go on like this anymore. I can't. The days are getting longer. The nights and sweet relief that sleep brings are becoming shorter. I've got no fight left in me. I've tried it all: therapies, tonics, and medications. The procedure is all that's left. In less than a few days I'll be a new person. I'm sure of it. I have to be.
