Nagisa POV

"Come on Nagisa! You've been studying for days! All we're asking is for you to spend a single day at the beach. Then you can you back to studying your life away." Kayano cries like a 5 year old.

"Well I'm sorry that final exams start tomorrow and I would like to get into the college I want and not the one mother wants." Glaring at the care free girl as she rolls her eyes like an absolute child.

"Fine, but after finals you better go out with us! Or else!" She storms out waving her hands like there on fire.

Turning back to my books I continue to read through the material until my eyelids feel like they weigh 10 pounds, meaning I should go to sleep.

Or I could keep reading so that I'm prepared, but I don't wanna fall asleep in the middle of the test.

Damm you basic bodily functions.

Cleaning the desk from at least 20 books and papers with half assed writing on them as if taken within a second, which they probably were.

Shutting down for the night I can't help but wonder.

Should I have said yes to swimming tomorrow? I mean I should study for the test the next day but what if I just leave early so I can go swim? What am I thinking I shouldn't go.

But maybe it could be fun, I haven't had time for my friends in a month, I've been studying for a while, but I can't give up now, I wanna become a teacher but that's not what my mother wants.

She wants me to live the life she didn't, like I'm a do-over of some sort, but if I can do this then I can live my life how I want.

"Nagisa! Since you didn't go swimming with us last week we're going swimming again! Won't this be fun?" Kayanos over excited voice rings like a bell in my ears.

"Super fun." Please note the sarcasm.

"Well too bad!" She yells pulling my arm off to her car stuffed with bags and people.

She's always had lots of friends, friends she has tried to introduce my to, it never ends well.

I see the only two friends we're both friends with and that Sugino and Nakamura. There's also Isogai and Maehara who I would call acquaintances. Plus other cars stuffed with people she knows.

This is gonna be hell.

"Hurry up Nagisa! Get in the damm car!" Nakamuras voice breaks my train of thought as I hop into the clown car.

"Next stop, the beach!" Kayano calls back into the void of towels and bodies.

She starts driving and then there's arguing about the fastest rout so we take even longer to get there.

By the time we get there everyone else has already set up their towels and went into the water.

"Well then, we better set up quickly to make up for lost time!" Kayano, stop being so grotesquely optimistic for 5 fucking seconds please.

I watch as they run over to where everyone else was, but I'm not gonna go and talk to them, I'll just go over to the other side of the beach and read my book.

"NAGISAAAAA! I invited you so that you could swim! Not read more books! You can do that when we get back!" Kayano, why must you yell IN MY EAR!

"Fine." And before I know it she's pulling me into the water.
