Nagisa POV

'Come back, you've been gone for a long time now...'

I stare out the window waiting for something to fucking happen, but still all I see is the rain slowly falling.

"Papa, when is daddy coming home?"

It hurts

"I don't know, let's just hope it's soon." I say more to myself, but I have to be there for her. I pick her up and place her in my lap going back to looking out the window.

"I hope it's soon, it's almost bedtime." She's right, "I know it's close Makoto, let's hope he's here to tuck you in."

The time slowly passes until the darkness with dim lights to help those still awake find there way home are left. I face the fact that he's not coming home today and pick up Matoko To tuck her in so sleep can take her to something better.

"Where's daddy?"

"Umm well, he won't be here tonight, we'll have to just wait and see when he comes home." Her face drops when she hears her dad won't be coming home tonight and I just wish that I could call him right now and see where he is.

What if he's... no he's loyal, but if he was drinking... no! Nagisa don't think like that! Everything will be fine... I hope...

"But why can't he come home?" How do I answer that without saying anything that might ruin her childhood?!? "W-well... *sigh* how about we call him to see if we get an answer?"

"Yeah!" She hops out of bad and runs down stairs to get to my phone. When I catch up to her she's rocking back and forth in front of my phone.

I see that there's a missed call from Karma so I diced to listen to the voice mail.

"Hey Nagisa, I have to stay at work late. You know how Akio is when we don't meet a deadline. Well I'll see you when I get home~"

Oh... guess I over reacted.

"Well I guess he'll come home when we're asleep, let's get you to bed now."

"Ok"

"We need you to stay here until this report is finished, I'm sorry for keeping you late but Tomoki left early."

I sigh and look up to my boss, "sure but just let me call my family quickly." She of course let me so I go to his contact.

"Hey Nagisa, I have to stay at work late. You know how Akio is when we don't meet a deadline. Well I'll see you when I get home~"

I put it down and get back to work.
