Chapter Thirty One

I limped up to the front doors of Tim's house. My thigh and upper shoulder hurt so bad it was ridiculous. I just wanted to take a nice hot bath and relax while listening to some Downtown Fiction and Cobra Starship, but I had to go to dance lessons at Tim's house instead.

I rang the doorbell and Tim answered. His hair was wet and he had on a white undershirt and basketball shorts. "Hey," he said, walking out of his mansion and shutting the door behind him.

I muttered a "hey" and followed behind him to the dance studio in the backyard. "So I heard you guys had a pretty awesome win earlier against Anderson."

"Yeah, we beat em' 4-1," I said chucking off my uggs and sitting on the ground to put on my heels. Tim was making me wear them so that I would get used to wearing them while dancing because I was going to have to wear heels to the ball.

I winced as I squeezed my blister covered feet into the heels and strapped them up. "That's awesome. Did you get any goals?" He asked helping me up from the ground.

"Yeah, I got a penalty kick in the last few seconds of the game," I said, as I warmed up a little.

"Nice," said Tim, turning on the music and taking my hand. We began to dance and every time I moved, my thigh stung.

I ground my teeth together and waltzed around the room with Tim. I was getting really good at the waltz after so much practice. Soon I was going to be the master at it.

We fell into our usual step and easily waltzed to the entire song. After we were done, I collapsed on the ground and massaged my thigh.

Tim stood over me. "Now that you have the dance down, I think we should try to turn."

I looked up at him. "Turn?"

"Yeah, it's not that hard, we just have to add a couple of steps and turn in a different direction," said Tim, offering his hand out, "Come on, I'll show you."

"Tim! You didn't tell me that there was more to this freaking dance! I thought I had it down already!" I exclaimed, letting him pull me up.

"Come on, Jazz, it's really not that hard."

I sighed. "That's what you said the first time we danced and how did that turn out?" I said rolling my eyes.

Tim put his hands together so he looked like he was saying a prayer. "We only have a few more weeks and we haven't even started any of the other dances. Please, just cooperate with me."

I sighed louder this time and gave in. "Fine."

We got into position and Tim turned on the music with his little remote control. "Alright, follow me. 1...2...3..."

All of a sudden, Tim began to turn to the right and I lost my balance and my feet came out from underneath me. Before I knew it, I was falling and taking Tim down with me.
