Chapter Thirty Four

I walked back to the bleachers with my arms crossed tightly over my chest and my head down. It was getting darn cold for September. I showed the old lady at the front gates my ticket and she let me in. I walked to the bleachers and went up them.

Lauren and James jumped up when they saw me approaching. "Where did you go?" They both asked.

I sat down in my seat and tugged them both down. "I was talking with Tim. Jeez, get your panties out of you ass."

Lauren laughed. "Get your panties out of your ass? How did you come up with that?"

I shrugged. "I don't know. It's easier to say than get you panties out of a notch."

Lauren laughed again and wrapped her arms around me. "I love you, Jasmine."

I pulled out of her grasp. "Are you drunk?" I asked.

"Yes," she said, ginning at me goofily, "I'm drunk with love."

                "I hope not with me."

She laughed again. "Of course with you. You're my best friend."

I rolled my eyes. "You are SO drunk. Where'd you get the alcohol?"

She tapped the guy next to her, Kyle Zelinsky, the funniest son-of-a-bitch I ever met in my life, and he gave her a tiny, gray flask that he pulled out of his jacket. Lauren gave me the flask and I took a swig. It burned my throat, but it felt wonderful as it hit my stomach. It was vodka. I sighed in fulfillment and handed the flask back to Lauren who also took a swig. Unlike Lauren, I didn't get drunk with just a few gulps of vodka. She was such a lightweight.

We watched the football players run onto the field and everyone jumped to their feet and cheered. My eyes searched for number 67, Tim's number and I spotted him. He was on the felid doing some high jumps and stretching out his calves. He looked so hot, I just wanted to run down to him and jump his bones. But, unfortunately, I was too classy for that.

West won the game by five touchdowns all thanks to my sexy ass hell boyfriend who kept scoring like it was the easiest thing in the world. Every time West had the ball, Freddie Hollis would throw the ball to Tim and he would run like the wind and score a touchdown. He made it look so easy.

The only reason West had only won by five was because our defense was really out of whack after loosing Mitch Cox, the best linebacker ever to play at West, and Kensington got in 3 touchdowns. However, it didn't matter at all. West was the best. They had the dream team: Freddie and Tim.

After the game was over, Lauren, James, and I, parted ways. James tugged the drunk Lauren with him to his Range Rover and I chilled by the front gates of the field waiting for Tim. After most of the people left, cheering boisterously and laughing excitedly, Tim and some of the football players came out of the locker rooms with their casual clothes on. Tim glanced over at me and waved. I waved back and watched as he said byes to his friends and gave them man hugs: the ones were they grab hands, partially hug, and pat each other on the backs all at the same time. I always found those hugs so odd. Why not just simply hug? Was it that hard?
