to perish in the depths of his eyes was like a flame that had turned my heart into ashes. he turned me into a pawn. i turned into him and watched as others around me burned. maybe i liked the way he made my palms get all sweaty, and my head all dreary. maybe i liked the way he made my heart burst of flames. i let him burn me, because without his flames, i'd get too cold. i was terrified of the cold. and i loved the feeling of heat creep on my skin. it hurt, a lot, but i didn't know how to live without it. i didn't know how to live without him. so i let him continue to burn me. i played the pawn. i stared into the depths of his eyes, and i watched him incinerate my entire world.
