Acceptance

"Padmé you have some explaining to do." her mother started. Surprised wouldn't begin to describe her parents reaction when Padmé told them that she had married a Jedi. "I know it sounds crazy. But please, hear us out." Padmé begged. She sat next to Anakin, holding his hand tightly. Her parents and sister sat across from her. She needed them to accept Anakin as her husband.

"Padmé why didn't you tell us about this?" "I didn't know how you would react. We both decided it would be best to keep it a secret. Please, give him a chance." Jobal sighed. "She certainly could've done worse." Sola said, looking at Anakin. Padmé put a protective arm around her husband. They talked for a while. Padmé explained everything. "I've heard a lot from Padmé, but not much from you." Jobal commented, looking Anakin in the eyes. "What do you have to say about all this?" Anakin answered without hesitation.

"I love her more than anything else in the galaxy. She's my everything, and I can't live without her. I would never forgive myself if something happened to her." Both her parents smiled a little bit at his answer. They both knew their daughter was with the right person, regardless of his profession. "Well, that settles it. Anakin, welcome to the family." Anakin and Padmé were both so happy.

They were spending the night at her parents before returning to Coruscant. Padmé was asleep, curled up in Anakin's arms. Anakin tried to sleep, to no avail. He was to worried about Ahsoka. I hope she's alright.
