Chancellor Palpatine had summoned Ahsoka to his office. She was the next part of his plan to turn Anakin to the dark side. He already had Padmé, now he needed Ahsoka and Obi Wan to complete his plan.

Step One: Give Anakin nightmares about loosing Padmé
Step Two: Give Anakin nightmares about loosing everyone he cares about
Step Three: Use disguise to kidnap Padmé while Anakin is present but defenseless
Step Four: Capture Ahsoka
Step Five: Capture Obi Wan
Step Six: Lure Anakin into a trap
Step Seven: Kill everyone Anakin cares about while he stands helpless and watches
Step Eight: Make Anakin his apprentice
He was certain his plan wouldn't fail.
