Nightmares

Mission Report

"ANI!" Padmé cried when she saw him. Ahsoka and Obi Wan drug an unconscious Anakin inside. Padmé immediately ran to him. "What. Happened?" she demanded. "One of his headaches." Obi Wan answered. "What? Anakin never said it was this bad." she said. You could hear the stress and panic in her voice. Ahsoka put a hand on her shoulder. "He'll be ok. I promise." she said, trying to calm Padmé down. She hugged her unconscious husband, holding his hand. Obi Wan had set him down on the couch while they waited for him to wake up.

Half an hour passed before Anakin opened his eyes. He groaned, sitting up. Padmé practically flew to his side. She tried to get him to lay back down. "Padmé, I can sit up." he said with a weak smile. "But you passed out." she argued. "You should still be lying down." "Not if you're Anakin." Ahsoka commented, entering the room. "Hey." Anakin sounded offended. "What? It's true. Whenever you get hurt in a battle, the second you can stand is the second you refuse to sit down." she added. "I have to agree with Ahsoka." Obi Wan said, walking into the room as well. "Moving on. Ahsoka, how was your mission?" Anakin asked.

"Honestly, I'm not sure." she answered. "What happened?" Obi Wan questioned. "Well, he knew Padmé was gone." "But how is that possible? I only told Obi Wan." Anakin interrupted. "I know. He also knew she was on Naboo. And he insisted I go to Naboo alone to get her." "That doesn't make any sense unless...." "That's impossible" Padmé interjected. "We should be open to the possibility. I will speak with Master Yoda." Obi Wan said. With that, he left. Ahsoka left shortly after. Now the couple was alone.

"We should go to bed." Padmé suggested. "You can. I'm going to stay awake, just in case." "Suit yourself." Padmé said heading into the bedroom. She came back after a while with pillows and a blanket. She changed into a blue nightgown. "What are you doing?" Anakin asked. "I want to stay by you." she said, setting the pillows on the couch. She wrapped herself in the blanket and curled up next to Anakin. "If you're staying out here, so am I." Anakin put his arm around her. "I love you." he whispered into her soft brown curls. "I love you too." she murmured, already half asleep. Anakin smiled. He closed his eyes, but never fell asleep.
