You avoid
what you don't wanna hear
while you found your way
towards my ex's friend this year;
silent glares but whispers, hence repellent
atop my visage-memories triggered.
Though I soiled you
in my jealousy and quirks,
another room must be your
around-the-clock safety blanket
as you drown in your frustration.
I'm sorry you're not as perfect
as your outermost shell,
for I wonder who else
you'll be bound to repel.
