Darkening gray sky
cuddled into the evergreen-kissed
tar streets and rain-stains atop such
feed my adventurous aura,
ironically enough.
Humidity replaces the ocean
blue and a muddy teal so strong;
enjoying the current summer as
I crave the beachtown of color
evoked from
recurring glances at neon signs,
animating at their own pace
no different than the passerbies,
for I never enjoyed a tainted egg-scent
more than the marina of the city,
hiding behind beachgrass and hotels
of different personalities
yet still relative to one another.
