Sandy sighed "I'm getting sick of your attitude already."

Melly opened the door "Then why don't you leave"?

Sandy slammed the door close "No."

Melly smiled "Then you will have to deal with me."

Sandy stood up straight " Gladly. " She was shorter so standing up in front of Melly made her look pathetic.

Melly pushed her back "Haven't you heard of personal space"?

Sandy scoffed "don't push me."

Melly raised an eyebrow "I just did. What are you gonna do" ?

Sandy looked over at Sodapop "You like feisty girls don't you" ?

Sodapop shook his head "Why are you here"?

Sandy smiled "I thought you missed me." She set her hands on Sodapops shoulders .

Melly took them off  "He asked you a question so answer."

Sandy grinned "What's your name"?

Melly smiled fakely "Its 'Leave or I kick your ass'."

Sandy crossed her eyes "Thats a good one. Reminds me of -"

Melly slapped her "What did I just say"?

Sandy glared at her "I don't like you."

Melly shoved her on the ground "I can live with that."

Sandy tried getting up "You-"

Melly kicked her back down "What did I just say" ?

Two-Bit told Sandy "I will give you a hint. It's leave or get your ass kicked."

Sandy scowled from the ground "I don't listen to people like -"

Melly glared at her "You can't just come in here and act like you own the place" !

Sandy stood up "Well you did"!

Melly smirked and slapped Sandy again "Listen, Sandy. You beachy Bitch! No one. Absolutely no one wants you here."

The whole gang nodded in agreement "Yeah we don't."

Sandy laughed "Well I'm here."

Melly raised an eyebrow "Where's your baby"?

Sandy scoffed "He is with his dad"!

Melly replied "Okay let me get this straight. You came here to get back with an ex. Who has a girlfriend. You have a baby, who at the moment is with his father. and his father is the one who got you pregnant, while you were in the relationship with Sodapop. And you expect to get back together with him. After all that you did."

Sandy nodded "Yeah."

Melly smirked "That's all summed up in a few words. You are a two timing SLUT"!

Sandy glared at her "That's funny coming from you."

Melly laughed "You form even I is who I am. Not even my name so how would you know if I was a slut or not" ?

Sandy bit her lip "because I'm a mind reader."

Melly smiled "Sounds more like a prostitute to me."

Sandy tried getting Melly but missed "shut up" !

Melly shook her head "Listen dearie. Last week it was the fourth of July so I am gonna get a little political here. Don't get lost, I know small brains like yours can't take it. In the first amendment, it says I have freedom of speech. So no I will not shut up." Melly

Sandy smiled "You are acting so much like a SOC." Melly

Melly laughed "And you are acting like a slut. See the difference."

Sandy pushed Melly "No."

Melly dragged her by the hair to the door "Toodles." She kicked the rest of her body out and locked the door .

Darry locked the backdoor. "Thanks Mel."

Melly smiled "No problem." She wrapped her arms around Sodapop.

Sodapop looked as if he were stuck in a trance. He ignored everything Melly had just done. "Sandys back."

Melly let go of him "Yeah she is." She walked into the kitchen upset .

Two-Bit follows her "Mel are you okay" ?

Melly shook her head "It looks as if he wants to get back with her."

Two-Bit didn't know how to respond so he just hugged Melly. It did look as if Sodapop wanted to get back together with Sandy.

Melly leaned her head on his shoulder "Thanks Two-Bit. I do need a hug."

Two-Bit nodded "Hug away."

Melly stood up "I am leaving. Tell Sodapop if he ever comes back that he is a son of a bitch."

Two-Bit nodded "It's gonna be okay Mel."

Melly smiled "for you." She walked out the door and started wiping away her tears. She turned it the direction of her house and started walking .

Sandy was walking down the street angry. "It's gonna be hard to get him back with a bitch of a girlfriend."

" Sandy wait"!

Sandy turned around and saw Sodapop. She thought "Maybe not." Then said " What"?

Sodapop rubbed his neck "why'd you come back"?

Sandy set her hands on his shoulders "I missed you. I want to get back together with you."

Sodapop didn't know how to react "Really"?

Sandy ran her fingers through his hair "Yeah. I missed us. When we would go out to the lake and swim. Then you would kiss me. Remember" ?

Sodapop nodded "Yeah."

Sandy smiled "It was S plus S. Everyone wanted to be us. The movie star couple."

Sodapop grinned "Yeah."

Sandy made a disappointed face "But you have another girlfriend."

Sodapop suddenly remembered Melly "Yeah I do."

Sandy looked down "So are you gonna choose her or me"?

Sodapop backed up "What"?

Sandy replied sternly "I said Choose."

Sodapop backed up "I don't know."

Sandy called after him "This should be easy. Me or the bitch" !

Sodapop went back into the house "Where is Melanie" ?

Darry glared at him "She left."

Sodapop shook his head "No. No"!

Darry crossed his arms "Well you went chasing after your ex, was she supposed to wait here and be a side chick."

Sodapop sighed "It's not like that."

Darry replied "Looked like it."

Sodapop shoved Darry out of the way "Well it's not" !I

Sodapop picked up the phone and called Melly.

"Hello"?

" Hey its -" the phone hung up. Sodapop slammed the phone down "Damn it" !

Darry yelled from the other room "Language"!

Right then and there Dally walked in "Guys. Something happened."

Sodapop stared at him and tears burst out of his eyes "WHAT HAPPENED TO MELLY" !
