Evie shoved her out of the bathroom "Get out there."

Melly shook her head "No, I don't."

Evie cocked her eyebrow "You don't what"?

Melly looked at her reflection "I don't recognize myself."

Evie smiled "Of course you don't. You lost the SOC and now your just Melly."

Melanie grinned "Just Melly" ?

Evie nodded "Yeah I mean Melanie sounds to much like a SOC but Melly it's like Greaser chick. Listen, Evie, uh Sandy. They all end in e-y."

Melly looked at Evie "Who's Sandy"?

Evie went pale "Just someone who use to be a Greaser." Evie uncomfortably shuffled.

Melly raised an eyebrow "Okay then which boy did she date"?

Evie quickly changed the subject "That lipstick is darling in you. Here keep it." She handed it to Melly.

Melly smiled "Thanks. So who did Sandy date"?

Evie rolled her eyes "She's gone. It don't matter anymore. Sodapop has you now." She quickly covered her mouth " I mean. Uh-"

Melly nodded trying to play it cool. "So she dated Sodapop"?

Evie realized that Melly was cool with it "More than just date-" she chuckled -" Everyone thought those two would get married. But then the slut got pregnant and moved. Sodapop was heartbroken. Poor thing. "

Melly smiled weakly "Poor Sodapop." She said. Melly was jealous . More than jealous. She had been in relationships before but never did she think they would get married. Sodapop probably had his whole life planned with Sandy. And now he probably thought of Melly like a 'girlfriend who would be with someone else in a few days'

Evie smiled "Your so sweet to be totally okay with me talking over last relationships of Sodapop. I mean around him he made everyone promise not to bring up Sandy."

Melly nodded as if she were listening "Oh." Why can't she just stop talking about Sandy and bring up anything else. Anything.

Evie continued "Sandy use to be my best friend but she ruined everyone's life. The whole gang felt nothing but sadness for Sodapop."

Melly changed the subject "I think I'm ready to go show the boys."

Evie clapped her hands in delight "Okay let's go."

Melly walked out with a slight smirk on her face as every boys eyes landed on her. Except for Steve. Steve grabbed his girlfriend and twirled her "Look at that makeup artist."

Melly blushed while Sodapop walked up to her in shock "Woah, you look awesome."

Melly smiled "Thanks, I-"

Dally cut her off "Hard to believe you were drunk a few hours ago."

Melly laughed "Thanks Dal. I will take that as a compliment." She looked up and saw Johnny. Johnny was speechless. When their eyes met, he looked away and started talking to Ponyboy.

Two-Bit patted her "Look it here." he still had the smell of vomit in his breath.

Melly pinched her nose at the scent. She quietly gagged and replied "Thanks. I hope it takes your breath away."

Ponyboy giggled at what Melly said. Melly smiled at him "You know what I mean don't you"?

Ponyboy shrugged and kept chucking to himself "Maybe."

She saw a smug smile on Johnnys face too. " Ya too"?

Johnny nodded "Yeah."

Two-Bit went up to Steve and Steve yelled.  "God Two-Bit don't you brush your teeth. Damn it, you made me lose my appetite."

Two-Bit laughed "That could never happen." He patted Steve's stomach.

Steve nodded along with him "Your right it couldn't."

Sodapop started talking to Melly again "So Steve and I were thinkin'. Double date"?

Melly nodded "Sure." Then thought " Hope Evie won't bring up that Sandy again. "

Sodapop and Melly climbed into the booth where Evie and Steve waited for them.

Sodapop smiled "Hey guys. Long time no see."

Steve nodded "Been a while. Is that facial hair I see Mr. Curtis" ?

Steve and Sodapop continued with their weird ass conversation.

Evie started talking to Melly "Dont even try. I can't change them."

Melly grinned "They are like the best of friends, ain't they"?

Evie laughed "Yup. They would both jump off a cliff together."

Melly chuckled "What about you? Who have you been hanging out with ever since that girl"?

Evie replied "Sylvia."

Melly smiled "I don't see her name ending in e-y."

Evie burst out laughing "Oh my God. Mel you really got me."

Melly grinned "so who is this Sylvia" ?

Evie gladly started talking "Its Dallys girlfriend. She can be annoying sometimes. And she is a no good two timer. But I have been so lonely I put up with her. She says she a natural blonde, but I know she bleached that hair. It's more pale than blonde and you can see her brown roots forming. It's nasty. Just be natural, like me. Or you. Oh and that hair, I have to admit. I am in love with it. It's so pretty and it really brings out the Greasers style." Evie kept talking.

Melly nodded as if she were listening. She heard curses and yelling coming from the kitchen.

"I ain't serving that table" ! yelled a voice.

"You better or you will lose this job." Yelled another.

" Then I'm leaving"!

"Bitch"!

Melly put her hand in Sodapops. The screaming might have frightened her just a bit. Sodapop squeezed hers for a reassurance. A door slammed and everything went back to normal.

Evie got up quickly "I will be right back." She exited the front door and all 3 of the Greasers watched her leave .

Meanwhile Evie chased after the waitress who had just quit "Stop! I know who you are"!

The waitress turned around "I highly doubt th-" she stopped talking. "Evie" ?

Evie hugged her "Sandy?! You are back"!

Sandy smiled "Hopefully this time it's to stay." She hugged Evie back.

Evie grinned "How have you been"?

Sandy nodded "Good. How has everyone else been? How's Sodapop"?

Evie paused "Oh shit. Sandy I am sorry but Sodapop had a girlfriend."

Sandy stopped smiling "He already got over me"?

Evie nodded "Yeah and he is with someone who just switched from SOC to Greaser to be with him. They are in it to keep it."

Sandy angrily said "Not yet. Once your with Sandy, you never get over her."
