The food had arrived by the time Evie got back. She whispered something in Steve's ear. Steve went pale and stood up "We have to go. Evie has a family emergency."

Sodapop replied understanding "Okay, see you two later."

Evie hugged Melly "Bye Melanie."

Melly hugged her back "Melanie? What happened to Melly" ?

Evie ignored what she said. "Lets go Steve." The two walked off.

Sodapop sat back down "That was weird."

Melly nodded "Yeah, I guess she was just worried."

Sodapop smiled "Well it's just the two of us now."

Melly smiled as she wrapped her arms around him "It is, ain't it"?
Sodapop started to kiss her.

Meanwhile, Steve was trying to calm Sandy down outside.

" Sandy you were the one who left him"!

Sandy glared at him "But he told me he loved me." Sandy watched in the window as her ex kissed another girl .

Evie rubbed her back "Lets go sweetie. You can find someone else."

Sandy slapped Evie "Are you stupid?! Sodapop and I were the movie star couple"!

Evie held her cheek "Shut the hell up! It's over." She yelled pissed off at Sandy.

Steve pulled Evie away from Sandy "Listen Sandy. It's your fault you got pregnant with someone else"!

Sandy raised her hand to hit him "Your his best friend. How could you let him do this to me"?

Steve lowered her hand "Because your broke his damn heart"!

Sandy started for the doors "Let me give the new girl a piece of my mind."

Evie grabbed her "Stop! You need to leave. You ain't breaking his heart anymore." She shoved Sandy away from the door to the parking lot.

Sandy fought back "So your on pretty boys side now aren't you"?

Evie nodded "Obviously. You left him. You left me. You left the gang" !

Sandy scoffed "I'm out of here"! She angrily walked off with her head on the air.

Evie looked up at Steve "What are we going to do" ? I

Steve shook his head "I don't know."

Melly and Sodapop were walking home together. Hand in hand. Sodapop kept complimenting her. "Your outfit compliments your skin tone."

Melly smiled "Did you get that from a magazine" ?

Sodapop nodded defeated "Yeah. Well I ran out of compliments to give you."

Melly side hugged him "Sodapop I get it. You like me as a Greaser."

They arrived at her house. Sodapop said "I will leave now."

Melly stopped him "No walk me to the door."

Sodapop smiled "Okay." He grabbed her hand and led her to the door . He knocked on it.

The door opened and Mellys mother screamed when she saw Melly. "Ahhh"!

Her dad came to the door. A stunned face appeared on his. "Melanie"?

Melly led Sodapop in "It's Melly now." They both headed up to her room. Sodapop laughed the whole entire time to the stairs.

As soon as they were in her room Sodapop said "That was awesome."

Melly grinned "All for you, Sodapop."

Sodapop twirled her into a kiss "Thanks."

Sandy payed for a cheap motel room. She thought to herself "I'm gonna be here for a while." She went into her room and took out a picture of her and Sodapop. She stared at it and pure anger fumed from her. " He is gonna want me back over that stupid SOC. " She set the picture down and looked at her reflection. The SOC might have beat her looks, but the last will have to help Sandy now. She took out a paper and started writing a list of everything Sodapop and she use to do together.

The following morning she headed over to the Curtis House. She knocked on the door and Ponyboy opened it. "Hi Ponyboy." She said happily.

Ponyboy glared at her "What are you doing here" ?

Sandy scoffed "That's no way to treat an old friend. Can I come in"?

Ponyboy shook his head "No."

Sandy went in anyways "You sure didn't change this place at all."

Darry walked in "What are you doing here"?

Sandy replied "Dar Bear. How have you been"?

Darry raised an eyebrow "Fine until you came."

Sandy laughed "Get use to it, I'm here to stay."

Darry crossed his arms "No you are not."

Sandy rolled her eyes "Where's Sodapop" ?

Ponyboy smirked "He spent the night at his girlfriends. He told me it was going to be a very fun night. All night long."

Sandy squinted her eyes at him "Watch yourself."

Ponyboy stood up angrily "Get out"!

Sandy sat down on a couch "No, I'm waiting for Sodapop."

Darry grabbed the phone "Don't make me call the police"?

Sandy grinned  "So they can take away Ponyboy, go right ahead."

Darry slammed it down "He has another girlfriend, why can't you just go with your baby daddy" ?!

Steve and Two-Bit walked into the house. Two-Bit glared at Sandy as soon as he saw her "What do you want"?!

Sandy stood up "Still obsessed with Mickey, I see." 

Two-Bit almost hit her and said through gritted teeth "You bitch."

Sandy licked her lips "I've heard that one before."

Steve replied "I told you to leave."

Sandy smiled as she sat back down "and since when do I listen to crooked mouths like you."

Steve felt anger rise in him "No one wants you here."

Sandy dusted herself off "You guys don't, but Sodapop. He will." 

Two-Bit laughed "He has been busy with another girl. Hasn't put a thought into you."

Sandy turned her head slightly "That's what you think."

I'm walked Sodapop with Melly. "Hey guys in home"!

Sandy stood up "Sodapop"!

Sodapop backed off "Why are you here"?

Melly stared at Sandy with daring eyes "You must be his forgotten ex."

Sandy glared at her "and You must be the-"

Melly cut her off "His girlfriend." She said sternly.

Sandy crossed her arms "Don't you know it's rude to interrupt people"? 

Melly smiled "Yeah but when it's measly little brats like you, I make an exception."
