8-Business

*Leahs pov*

It's 8 am and I'm getting ready for work right now. I curl my hair, like always, but this time it's in a cute half up half down style. I'm wearing a tight black skirt that stops like 2 inches above my knee, and a flowy white shirt that's tucked in and shows some cleavage, and then some fancy heels that match.

Work has been pretty easy lately, but I know it's just because I'm the new girl. So I won't be surprised when it gets stressful. But today is pretty important, a lot of people got promoted to bigger businesses, and they're all connected, including mine. So there having this huge business meeting with a lot of the employees.

It's all in one building on 2 floors. Different meetings going on in different rooms, depending on what you do for the company. And then after the meetings are over, everyone can just get to know eachother, and there's gonna be food and drinks, just like a little event.

"Bye baby." I whisper to Angelo since he's still asleep, and peck his lips. "Have a good day my love." He mumbles and I smile. I check on Sofia and kiss her forehead, then I head to work.

I eventually arrive, it was kind of a drive, since it's the building I don't usually go to, but it wasn't too bad. I walk in, and it is packed. Obviously none of the meetings have started, so people are just everywhere.

I already don't really no anyone since I'm new, but I definitely don't know these people. So I just kind of stand to the side until the meetings start.

Eventually they call everyone into rooms. The room I'm in is mainly the people at my job, but also some other people from different company's. Once everyone gets into the room, my boss starts talking about the goals for this year, and what percentages need to increase or change, blah blah blah. At this point I'm not even really paying attention.

Just looking at the posters and graphs on the walls. Some people in the room are seated, and others are standing around. I'm standing to the side and leaning against the wall. "And I just wanted to take the chance to introduce our newest worker, Leah Remini." He says then I snap back to reality. Everyone just looks at me and smiles, so I smile back. Then he continues talking about whatever.

My boss is pretty chill, he actually is a really good boss overall, he isn't too hard on me about getting things turned in. And he isn't always so focused on work, he actually likes having conversations with people, which is nice at times.

He's tall and kind of buff, he has black hair that's cut all professional like. He has really blue eyes, and some freckles on his nose and cheeks, he's really smart and he definitely knows business.

2 hours have passed, but it feels like 5 years, and the meetings are just now ending. People are pouring out into the hallway from the rooms. I gather my stuff that I put on the table, and I saw my boss start to walk out the door. "Mr. Smith!" I call out and he stops and turns around. I walk up to him and he smiles. "I just wanted to tell you that the papers you gave me, may be a little bit late.." I say hesitantly. "Oh! That's totally fine! Take your time with them." He nods, yeah he's really nice.

"Thank you so much, I'll get them in as soon as possible." I say as we're still standing in the room. "No problem, I'd rather you not be rushed anyways." He says. "So how is everyone treating you so far?" He asks as we stop in the hallway. "Oh I don't really know anyone yet, just hadn't gotten the chance to really talk to anyone, but that's what I'm hoping I can do today." I nod. "I see, well you're doing great so far, do you have any questions about anything?." He asks.

"Actually, I do." I say and pull out a chart from a file in my hand. "Let's take a seat." He says and walks over to the table. We sit across from eachother alone in the room just looking over this chart. I only had like one question, but he's making it way more, I just want that food out there.

"I actually have something related to this that could help." He says and opens his briefcase and starts digging through it. All the walls to the rooms are glass, but they're blurred so you can't see through them, except for the doors, they're completely clear glass. So everytime someone passes by I look up at the door.

While Mr. Smith looks through his case, a familiar woman passes by the door slowly, she glances up through the glass and looks at me, then I realize its Jennifer. She just keeps walking after she glances, but I could see her outline through the walls stop, then she backed up slowly and perked her head peaking in the room. Then she realizes it's me and stands completely in front of the door with a huge smile on her face and she waves at me.

I smile and wave back. I'm honestly so surprised to see her here, but I'm happy at the same time. "Come here." She mouths and motions her hand towards her. "I can't." I say and glance at my boss so she knows I can't leave because of him. She pouts and crosses her arms. "Hold on." I mouth and hold one finger up.

"Ahh, here it is." Mr.Smith says and pulls out a paper. "Mr.Smith, is it ok if we could possibly look at that tomorrow. You see I just have my other files at home that I wanna look at with it, so we can get it all covered together." I say and tilt my head. "Yeah sure no problem." He says and puts it away, we both stand up, and I see Jennifer kind of step to the side so she doesn't look creepy.

We shake hands and he walks out of the room first, I follow behind him, and as soon as I walk out and turn to the right, she's standing right in front of me. "Hi Leah!" She says and throws her arms around me. "Woah, hi." I giggle and hug her with one arm since I'm holding stuff in the other. "Sorry..sorry, I'm just so glad you're here, I've been so bored." She pulls back. "Me too, you saved me from my boss, so thankyou." I say and we start to walk down the hall. Then we walk into the main room with tables and stuff, I put the files down, and we keep talking.

"So how has it been today." She asks. "Slow." I roll my eyes. "I get that." She giggles.

"You look cute, all dressed up like a business woman." She says and touches the sleeve of my shirt. I smile and kind of blush. "Thankyou." I giggle. "You look good too, I like that dress." I say. "Thanks." She smiles.

"I'm gonna get a drink, do you want one?" She asks. "No thanks, I'm ok." I shake my head. "Okay, be right back." She says and walks away. And my eyes go straight to her ass. I didn't even mean to. It just happened.
