*Leahs pov*
I didn't wanna leave the party since Me and Jennifer were getting along, but our nanny, Trish, called and said Sofia sprained her ankle. It didn't sound too bad, but we wanted to be safe, and we were probably gonna end up leaving soon anyways.
Me and Angelo get home, it doesn't take long since we live right around the corner. We get in the house and Sofia is on the couch with her ankle propped up on a pillow. "Awe..what happened my love?" I ask putting my purse down beside the door.
"I-I was on the trampoline an-" I interrupt her. "Baby why were you on the trampoline at night time?" I raise my brows and sit beside her. "I wasn't tired.." She says innocently. Trish comes in the room and walks over to us. "I'm sorry Leah, I didn't know she went outside, I thought she was in bed." She apologizes. "Oh, so you snuck out huh?" I cross my arms and look at her with a serious face. Angelo laughs. "I remember when I usd to do that, I didn't go on the trampoline though....we did other things out in the woods..."
"You're not helping Angelo.." I sigh. "What did you do in the woods daddy?" Sofia gets interested. "Nothing sweetie, daddy was a hooligan, now it's time for bed, c'mon." I say and help her up. I take her to bed and thank Trish. Then me and Angelo go to bed.

The past few days, we've just been unpacking and helping Sofia decorate her room. My job for the new company doesn't start till next week. So I'm taking advantage of this week to get some new business clothes, and some stuff for the house. But right now I'm just on a walk since I don't know any gyms around here yet. I'm just walking around the block, I end up walking past that guy Alex's house, and of course I look at it as I'm walking past, then I notice a lady in their front yard she's on her knees, gardening, it looks like. I start walking slower and just watch. She takes off one of her gardening gloves and wipes her forehead, then she turns around looking my way, and I realize its Jennifer.
She's wearing daisy dukes that are cute and retro , a little floral cropped shirt that's ruffled. Her hair is curly and in a cute messy bun, with a bandana tied on her head like a headband. When she turned around she sat up on her knees, and smiled big and waved, I stopped walking and smiled back, she stood up dusted off her knees and started to walk over to me. Oh shit, I don't know what to do, I just stand there and wait for her to get to me.
"Hi!" She says and puts her hands on her hips, she wasn't wearing any makeup and she had sweat on her face, she also sounded like she was out of breath, which...was kinda hot... "Hey." I smile. "Watcha doin?" She asks. "Just, on a walk, trying to get some exercise in, even though unpacking wears me out." I laugh. "Haha, I get that." She laughs too. "Gardening?" I ask looking behind her at the flowers and gardening tools. "Oh." She looks behind her at the garden. "Yeah, I just do it when I'm bored. I really don't like dirt, but it's really pretty outside, so I thought why not." She shrugs. "Oh, gotcha." I nod. I hope I don't sound rude, I just don't now what to say...am I nervous? I don't know, hold yourself together Leah.
"Oh! Sorry for leaving your party so early, I wanted to chat longer, but our babysitter called, so we had to leave. I didn't want you to think I wanted to leave or anything.." I explain. "Oh, no, I figured there was a reason, was everything ok?" She tilts her head. "Yeah, Sofia, she just hurt herself on the trampoline." I say. "On the trampoline at 10 o'clock?" She asks confused. Then we slowly started walking down the sidewalk together.
"Yes. Can you believe she snuck out of the house, went into the backyard, and jumped on the trampoline. Because she "wasn't tired"? I laugh. "Oh my gosh, thats hilarious, I used to sneak out too, of course when I was older, to see my boyfriend." She laughs. "Me too, but I'd usually just sneak out to smoke cigarettes in the woods." I say. "Cigarettes?!" She says shocked. "Yeah, I know, don't worry I don't do it anymore, it wasn't really a thing I did, I just did it since it was trendy and apparently cool." I shrug.
"Ohh, I see. So lemme guess...you're from Brooklyn..?" She asks. "Now how did you know that?!" I joke sarcastically and we laugh. "I wish I had a heavier accent, I love New York accents..especially yours.." She looks at me. That kind of gave me butterflies. I smile. "Oh you have an accent." I say. She raises one eyebrow with a confused look. "You're from the..Bronx..?" I say hesitantly. "Haha, yes, but you can only tell since you're from New York as well." She giggles.
"Oh well, it's cute, people think I'm mean because of my accent." I roll my eyes. "I can see you having a mean side...only when you're mad of course." She nods. "Yeah, I can be an asshole. Ask my husband." I joke and we laugh.
We keep walking, and I eventually realize we're too far to even see her house anymore. "Oh shit." I say and look back. "Damn, I didn't even realize we started walking." She laughs I laugh with her. "Well..I should head back, I hope I can see you again, you know where I live so, just, ya know, if you ever wanna hang out.." She smiles. "Sure." I smile. "Okay, Well, I'll let you continue your walk." She smiles. "Ok, I'll see you later." I say. "Alright, bye." She smiles. We say bye, and we go our separate ways.

I head back, and tell Angelo about who I saw, he was interested, and we just chatted about how we should get to know them. "We should invite them to dinner!" He randomly says. "What?! No!" I'm definitely not ready for that... "Why not?" He asks surprised. "Uh, our house isn't even completely done.." I say. "It'll be done by next weekend." He says. "Alright.." I say. "I have Alex's number I'll invite them for dinner next Friday." He nods and smiles.
"Ok go ahead." I say. He pulls out his phone and calls Alex he goes into the other room and starts talking to him.
He comes back into the kitchen. "They said they'd be happy to." He smiles. "What if they're vegetarian??" I ask concerned. "Leah relax, it's next week, we can make something simple like spaghetti." He shrugs. "I guess so." I really hope it goes well..
