"Thankyou Jennifer." Sofia says after I finish her hair and she turns around and hugs me. "Of course baby." I say and hug her back, Leah looks at me and rolls her eyes and I stick my tongue out at her. "You know, Emme misses you a lot." I say with her still hugging me. "Really?!" She pulls away with her arms still around my neck. "Oh yeah, not a day goes by that she doesn't ask about you." I nod.
"Awee, mommy I wanna see Emme." Sofia pouts and looks at Leah. "I'm sure we can plan something babydoll." Leah smiles at her. "Yesss! Okay!" Sofia smiles big and climbs out of my lap and runs off somewhere. "Ugh I love her." I shake my head and look at Leah.
"Look, me and Alex are having a get together this weekend, kind of like the one we met at, and I really want you and Angelo to come. Sofia can come too, then Max and Emme wouldn't be so bored." I say. "Oh, yeah, we're no doing anything this weekend so that should be fine." She nods. "Great, it's gonna be pretty casual, so just wear something nice." I shrug.
"Okay, we'll be there." She smiles. "I was thinking about inviting Jade too.." I tilt my head. "No, Jennifer that isn't a good idea." She shakes her head. "I know-but- I feel bad, she was actually our friend." I say. "That wouldn't end well Jennifer, so please just don't. If she saw us both together again she would probably think we're fucking around again." She says with a serious tone. "Ok, I won't." I sigh.
"Thankyou." She says and takes a sip of her wine.

It's Friday and me and Alex are getting the house ready for the guests. I put Emme in a cute overall dress, and Max in some jeans and a button up shirt. Then I threw together a cute outfit.

I know I said that it's casual, but I'm always a little bit extra soo, oh well.
"Ok, the food and drinks are good, everything's good. Now, where are the kids?" I ask looking around. "What?!" Alex yells from the other room. "Emme and Max, where are they??" I ask and walk into the office. "I don't fucking know." He shrugs. "Ugh, Max??" I call out.
"Stopppp!!" I hear Emme say from upstairs. I walk upstairs and go into Emme's room. "What are you two doing??" I ask and I see max holding the head to one of Emme's Barbie dolls. "What the fuck?" I say to myself.
"Look at what he did momma!" Emme says and points at Max. "Max, why would you do that??" I ask and take the Barbie head out of his hand. "Cuz look!" He says and holds up his iPad with a big crack in it.
"How did that happen?!" I gasp. "She stepped on it!" Max says. "I've told you not to leave it in the floor, and now you know why." I sigh and rub my forehead.
"Max go to your room." I say sternly. "That's not fair!" He says and storms out. "Emme watch what you're doing next time." I say and give her a look. She puts and turns the other way. I leave and go back down stairs.
"Get a hold of your children." I say to Alex. "What did they do now?" He asks like he cares. "Max's iPad is done for, and one of Emme's Barbie dolls is headless." I say and he kind of laughs. "Ugh, I get no help around this house.

20 minutes pass and a couple of guests have arrived. Erica, her husband and her kid, Joshua. And just some other neighbors.
I'm just standing around, greeting guests as they come in. The doorbell rings for the 5 millionth time, so I go to open it, and I see Leah and Sofia standing there. Sofia was in a cute light yellow sub dress, and Leah was wearing a striped shirt and black pants.

"Finally!" I say and give Leah a hug, then I squat down and hug Sofia. "Emme's so where around here if you wanna see her." I say to Sofia and she nods and runs off. "You look great." Leah says. "Thanks, so do you." I smile as she steps in. "Where's Angelo?" I ask. "He's finding parking, Sofia was so anxious to come in." She giggles and so do I.
*Leahs pov*
We walk to the backyard and just talk with a group of people. We're sitting in the outdoor couches under the awning just laughing at the conversation. "And turns out, it was my mom the whole time!" One of the people finish their joke and we all laugh. Jen laughs hysterically and puts her hand on my thigh.
It kind of scares me because we haven't been...physical....in awhile. I try and play along because so don't wanna look uncomfortable, since I'm not. J live her touch, but it's just weird to be like this again. I take her hand and hold it, and she looks at me and smiles. I smile back and continue listening to the conversation.
Jen laughs and laughs through the night, since she is kinda tipsy. "Are you gonna drink at all??" She turns to me and tilts her head. "Uh-I don't think that's a good idea.." I say and pat her thigh. "Ohhh...right, since last time....when we.." She says and makes to peace signs with her fingers and make them scissor.
"Jennifer!" I say and put her hands down and hold them there. "Sorry!" She giggles and holds my hands normally. "You're crazy." I shake my head. "That's ok." She shrugs. I shake my head and look away.
Then I notice someone in the corner of my eye, so I take a second look. And I realize that it's Jade, you've got to be fucking kidding me.
Then Jade makes eye contact with me and I immediately let go of Jennifer's hands. "Jennifer." I say sternly. "Hmm?" She hums and looks at me. "What the fuck is that about." I say and make her look at Jade. "I thought we agreed on not inviting her!" I say. "I-it's not a big deal." She says and tilts her head.
"She just saw us holding hands, she made it clear she doesn't even wanna be friends with us. Are you crazy?" I ask. "Calm down Leah, let's just enjoy the rest of the night." She tilts her head. "How? When I won't even be able to touch you without her suspecting something." I say.
"We can just avoid her. I doubt she'll stay any longer anyways." She shrugs. "If you say so." I roll my eyes. "Let's go back inside." She suggests and grabs my hand to walk inside.
It kind of pisses me off that Jen didn't listen to me. Jade could tell anyone what she saw at anytime. And she's different than Mr.Smith, we can't keep her quiet with a bribe, especially the bribe Jennifer used in Mr.Smith..
