after the fiasco of the night before, they were back on the road. they only drove from about 9:30 a.m to 4:00 pm. they were doing research and found a mall that they had to go shopping in.
madeline, lexi, and sophie met up with megan and jaeden, chosen, finn, noah, and caleb walked around together. rebecca tagged along with caleb because there was no way she would get along with the girls.
the girls stopped in pacsun first and megan and sophie immediately saw something that caught their eyes. they both went to the fitting rooms and lexi and madeline trailed behind.
megan came out first in a baby blue mini dress. it was stunning and complimented her very well.
"megan! that dress is to die for." lexi gushed.
"you look gorgeous!" madeline exclaimed.
"thank you guys." megan smiled.
"jaeden's not gonna be able to keep his eyes off of you." lexi said.
"definitely. if you don't buy that dress right now, i swear!" madeline agreed.
megan admired the dress and her eyes lit up at the thought of jaeden.
sophie walked out of the fitting room wearing a long royal blue dress. it had a slit and went down right above her ankle.
"i hate it. i look gross." sophie said with a straight face.
"are you kidding? you look absolutely incredible, soph." madeline exclaimed.
"for real! you look beautiful." lexi agreed.
"you're getting that dress soph." megan said.
sophie didn't say anything else and instead just went back in the dressing room to take it off. the two girls came back out after changing.
sophie went to go put her dress back on the clothing rack before lexi took the dress from her.
"you're getting the dress, soph. you look gorgeous." lexi smiled.
"thanks, lexi. but i don't-" sophie started.
"nope! come on let's go get it." lexi dragged sophie to the cash register.
madeline and megan waited outside of the store for them after megan checked out. they sat on a nearby bench.
"hey mads? could i ask you something?" megan said softly.
"of course! what's up?"
"okay. i don't even know how to word this. i guess what i'm trying to say is how do i know if someone likes me?"
"i'm definitely not the type of person to be asking this," madeline laughed, "but if you're talking about jaeden i think the way he looks at you is enough. he looks at you like you're the only person in the room. i can just tell you're special to him."
"really?" megan looked up.
"definitely. i'm sure i could ask finn if jaeden's said anything about you too." madeline replied.
"you'd do that?" megan smiled.
"totally. i'm not sure how much i'll get out of him because of "bro code" but i can definitely try." madeline said.
"thank you so much mads. i'm so glad i was able to get closer to you."
"same here, megs." madeline grinned.
