"so what was that about, soph?" lexi asked when sophie walked back in to the room.
"i may have not been very honest with you guys." sophie revealed
the other girls were very confused. they thought they told each other everything, even though they had just started getting closer with megan and barely knew sadie. they knew they could trust each other.
"what's up?" madeline pointed to a spot on one of the beds where she could sit.
"well, i found out a couple weeks ago that finn liked me and i liked him back. i really tried to not make it obvious to you guys because i didn't think he liked me back. when he told me how he felt, i revealed to him i felt the same way." sophie took a deep breath, scared to continue.
"that's a good thing soph!" lexi said.
"i know, but i'm not finished." sophie sighed.
"finn said he was too scared to label our relationship but since i'm so naive i told him we could sneak around or not tell anyone. he still hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend or anything yet either which is really pissing me off. rebecca saw finn and i sneaking around a few days ago and that's why she was just here. we had this big argument and she basically said she was going to expose finn and i by tomorrow." sophie continued.
"wow, soph. you know you can always tell us anything right? i don't want you to be afraid, we're your best friends." madeline rubbed sophie's shoulder.
"i know but it's always been hard. i'm not one to share my feelings." sophie explained.
"you know we're not letting rebecca get what she wants." megan advised.
"oh hell no. tomorrow i'm posting about finn and i and exposing her ass." sophie flipped her hair.
"that's my girl!" lexi jumped up.
"much respect." sadie laughed.
"finn still doesn't want to put a label on our relationship but i guess i'm just going to have to live with it for now." sophie sighed.
"hey, if it's meant to work out it will. if finn still doesn't wanna show you and your relationship off then he's not worth it and doesn't deserve you." madeline spoke softly.
"thank you mads." sophie smiled.
"anything."
the girls decided to move onto a new topic. they talked about what they were looking forward too on the road trip and for senior year.
"hey guys i'm gonna head out. tonight was fun. thanks." sadie remarked.
"definitely!" megan said.
"goodnight. we'll have to do this again." madeline smiled and sadie waved and left the room.
"so, megs. how's jaeden?" lexi wiggled her eyebrows.
the heat raised to megan's face, "uh, he's okay."
"oh guess what megan! you're gonna be so happy." madeline grinned.
"what?"
"i asked finn if jaeden ever talks about you and he said he does, a lot! and he's scared to do anything because of how close you guys are." madeline giggled and jumped up and down.
"oh my god, really?" megan exclaimed.
"yes! you definitely have a chance girl, you just gotta take it!" madeline encouraged.
"exactly! we're all saying go for it!" lexi tried to motivate megan.
"it's rare to get a chance like this. like the guy you really like might like you back megs!" sophie remarked.
"you know maybe i will!" megan said confidently.
"or i won't," megan sat back down on the bed, "i'm not sure if he actually likes me back and i don't want to make a full of myself."
"i just gave this advice to madeline. you're never going to know unless you try. if it doesn't work out then you'll find someone better and be proud of yourself for taking a risk. but if it does, then you'll know it was meant to be!" sophie explained.
"i guess you're right." megan sighed.
"you know, your situation sounds an awful lot like-" lexi started.
"mine! i get it!" madeline finished lexi's sentence as the girls laughed.
