madeline awoke to no one in the room with her. she rubbed her eyes groggily trying to remember what happened last night. a wave of emotions came over her suddenly when she finally recalled. madeline grabbed the note noah left her saying he was getting snacks and coffee with finn and that he would be back shortly.

madeline flopped onto the bed and sighed. soon a smile started forming on her face when she realized what actually happened last night. like a scene right out of a chick-flick, noah confessed his feelings to her while he thought she was asleep. madeline decided to text the girls immediately.

madeline told noah the plan for today when he arrived back to the hotel room. finn tagged along and was made aware of the plan as well. noah was noticeably bummed that he wouldn't get to spend time with madeline today but eventually realized it might be a good thing. he could hang out with the guys the whole day and get his mind off some things.

at about 9 am they were all situated in their vehicles. madeline was driving, sophie was in the passenger seat and lexi, megan, and sadie, were in the back seats. they would most likely be arriving in nevada today and then tomorrow they would be in california, two days before july 4th.

"so mads? you said you needed to talk to us." sophie said.

"oh, well. last night after i went to bed, i couldn't fall asleep and i was busy thinking. but noah came a little while later and i was still awake but i just pretended to sleep. he thought i was asleep and he kind of just told me he was in love with me? like he went on a rant about how important i am to him and how everything i do for him never goes unnoticed and he told me he was basically in love with me."

a chorus of squeals and screams saying 'are you kidding' or 'oh my god that's crazy' occurred from the four girls.

"okay, we knew he liked you but he went out of his way to do that? that's literally straight out of a wattpad story." lexi exclaimed.

"bitch, you're y/n now!" sophie laughed.

"what are you waiting for? that's confirmation." megan smiled.

"i know but-"

"no buts! he told you he's in love with you so i swear if you try to say you're not sure-" lexi started.
