it was around 10pm and they had drove about an hour more after they were done shopping. they checked in to their hotel rooms and parted ways quickly.

noah lied down on the hotel bed as madeline said goodnight to sophie and lexi outside of the hotel room.

"wow we always only get one bed. maybe it's a sign." madeline giggled.

"yeah." noah nervously laughed.

madeline crawled in next to noah and put her head on noah's shoulder. they both just scrolled through their phones enjoying each other's presence.

noah thought to himself for about 20 minutes. he was thinking about finally telling madeline how he felt. he knew it'd be crazy and unlike him but a part of him wanted to see what would happen.

"hey mads- can i tell you something?" noah finally got the courage to ask.

"of course! what's up?" madeline smiled.

"okay so-" noah got cut off by a ring coming from madeline's phone.

"sorry. hold that thought." madeline answered the phone.

"hi? what happened? ugh okay! be right there. bye." madeline responded to each thing the person on the call said.

"i'll be right back. that was sophie. i'm sorry! we'll continue this in a sec." madeline apologized.

"it's okay." noah reassured.

madeline blew a kiss and giggled as she walked out of the hotel room and walked towards sophie and lexi's. madeline knocked on their door.

"come in!" lexi squealed.

"why are you so giggly- hey megan, hey sophie." madeline laughed.

"that's because chosen just asked me on a date like twenty minutes ago!" lexi jumped up and down.

"you're kidding really!" madeline exclaimed.

"that's awesome lex!" megan hugged lexi.

"when? where? how? tell us everything." madeline sat on the bed next to sophie.

"well i was on facetime with him and then he just asked if i was free tomorrow night after we get to our next stop! he was so smooth." lexi said cheekily.

"she's been squealing for like twenty minutes. i had to call you guys to come over cause she couldn't even get straight sentences out." sophie laughed.

"you guys are definitely helping me get ready tomorrow! shit! i have to actually get ready. oh my god-" lexi started pacing.

"come on lexi! we'll help you get ready but i promise you he likes you no matter what you're wearing or have on your face or anything." megan gave lexi a little pep talk.

"exactly what she said!" madeline said.

"thanks guys." lexi took a deep breath.

"i personally think you should wear that short light green and light orange dress. the floral one." sophie suggested.

"oh yeah that ones so cute! and the matching headband." madeline exclaimed.

"yes! i love that outfit." lexi beamed.

"does anyone want to do my makeup, maybe?" lexi continued.

"yeah can i?" megan asked.

"yes!" lexi said.

"thank you guys so much. i couldn't ask for a better group of girls." lexi smiled.

"of course. i love you guys." sophie grinned.

"love you girls." megan giggled.

madeline brought them into a group hug and they all laughed at how sappy they were being. they talked for about ten more minutes before they decided to go to bed.

madeline walked back into the hotel room and noah was still awake. his eyes lit up when she came back.

"hey! i'm sorry again. but guess what!" madeline exclaimed and lied down next to noah again.

"what?" noah smiled.

"chosen asked lexi on a date. we're gonna help her get ready tomorrow and everything."

"aw! that's amazing." noah said.

"anyways, what did you wanna tell me before i left?" madeline changed the subject.

"oh uh. it was nothing." noah decided he wasn't ready to tell her yet.

"you sure?"

"yep." noah sighed.

"okay," madeline said unsure, "goodnight noah. love you."

"love you. goodnight." noah said softly.

noah wrapped his arms around madeline. madeline wasn't fully asleep yet and smiled to herself.

noah kissed her forehead quickly and tried to get some sleep.

as soon as sophie was almost positive lexi was asleep she slid on her shoes and closed the door quietly.

she waited outside of his room because knocking would be a lot more noticeable.

"hey finn." sophie blushed.

"hey gorgeous." finn winked.

"where are we going this time?" sophie giggled.

"how about," finn trailed off, "here."

he pointed towards an empty closet used for storage in the hotel.

"perfect." sophie said.

finn and sophie had been sneaking around for about two weeks now. they weren't dating either. sophie wanted to tell everyone including her best friends about her relationship with the boy she's been crushing on for a few months, whereas finn didn't want to label their relationship. he was scared to say the least. scared that sophie still had feelings for jaeden, scared that they wouldn't work out just like his last relationship.

finn pushed sophie against the wall as their lips pressed. he pulled away as sophie blushed and smiled and finn smirked. sophie leaned in again.

their late night rendezvous occurred for about twenty more minutes before they went back to their hotel rooms.

little did they know someone was watching them the whole time.
