Meredith's Pov
I have struggled with depression for most of my life. To be honest, I can't remember a time when I wasn't depressed. As I got older, I got better at masking my depression, I never showed my true emotions to anyone. Not even Derek. That was until his wife showed up.
"Somewhere out there, is a bottle of wine with your name on it" I said as I walked over to Derek. He was sitting in a brown leather chair near the entrance of the hospital.
"Are you trying to take advantage of me again?" He asked letting out a small chuckle.
I laughed "We are not going there again Derek." His facial expression changed as a tall redhead walked towards us. He turned to face me.
"Meredith I am so sorry" he said softly.
"Sorry for what?" I asked. By then the woman was standing next to us.
"Addison!" He said angrily. She let out a small laugh and faced me.
"Hi I'm Addison Shepherd" she said quite clearly.
"Shepherd?" I asked. Maybe she was one of his sisters.
"And you must me the woman who's been screwing my husband" she said. My face went cold.
"I'm sorry, you're married!" I yelled. "I trusted you, I thought you were different!" I yelled coldly.
"Meredith please let me explain!" He begged. I continued toward the door. He placed a hand on my arm.
"Don't fucking touch me Dr.Shepherd!" I yelled. I turned back around and headed to my car. I sped off before he could get another word in. Tears burned my eyes and started to fall. I told myself not to fall in love, But I did. Loving him drained everything from me.
