Meredith's Pov

I drove straight to Joe's. I needed liquor, cold, hard liquor. When I got into the bar, Cristina, Izzie, Alex, and George were already there.

"Whoa Mer, you look like shit!" Alex said. I felt like shit.

"Derek is married" I said quietly. They all looked up.

"He's what?" They all asked in unison.

"Married, as in a ring in his finger, and has a wife" I said. "He used me" I said coldly. He used me! Why me? I downed about 7 shots in five minutes. I continued downing shots for another 10 minutes.

"Oh look there's McAss!" George said. Derek walked in and looked around for a moment until he noticed me.

"Meredith please talk to me?" He asked. I could barely hear him. His voice went echoey, the room started spinning, and the next thing I knew I was waking up in the hospital.

"W-what happened?" I asked. Cristina kept out of the chair.

"Dude, you past out last night  at the bar when Derek was talking to you!" She said.

"Last night? How long have I been here like this?" I asked with no emotion.

"For like a day and a half, you've woken up a few times but you went right back to sleep" she said.

"Has he been here?" I asked. She shook her head.

"He was walking with his wife, arguing with her at that, and he tried coming in here, he didn't get past me or Izzie" she said. She met out a slight laugh. I turned and faced the windows.

"Can I go?" I asked. "How long do I have to be here?" I quickly added.

"I'll go get Bailey" she said. She walked out of the room and started looking for Bailey. I heard a soft knock on the door. I didn't turn to look at who it was.

"Dr.Grey?" An unfamiliar voice called out.  I turned and saw who it was. Derek's wife. When I met her gaze I turned back and faced the window again.  I stayed silent.

"Dr.Montgomery, unless Grey is in need of your service you don't need to be here" Bailey said as she came inside.

"I'm sorry, I was just letting her know she is on my service when she gets discharged" she said. I heard her heels clang agains the floor as she exited the room.

"You can be discharged, go change and meet Dr.Montgomery-Shepherd when you are done" Bailey said. I nodded and got out of the bed.

Lyrics:

(Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more
Send my love to your new lover
Treat her better
We've gotta let go of all of our ghosts
We both know we ain't kids no more)
