"I'm going to spend the night here with Ryujin. She'll take me to school tomorrow."
"You better not be doing what I think you're doing."
"Mom!"
Mama Hwang releases a heavy sigh, taking a moment to consider her daughter's words. The memory of her pulling into the driveway and witnessing them kiss makes her want to shout no and demand she returns home. However, if there's one thing she liked, it's how she and her daughter actually discussed something personal for once. She doesn't want to screw up this start at a better relationship with her kid.
"Fine. I guess I owe that to you. But you better be at school on time tomorrow!"
"Thanks, Ma! Love you."
"I love you too. Before you go, put her on the phone."
The brunette wanders back inside the house in the direction of the living room, holding out the phone in the athlete's direction. "She wants to talk to you."
Her girlfriend's eyes flickered wildly. They went through a mini war of mouthing words, like "me?" and "yes you" and "why me?," before she forcefully handed her the phone.
"H-hello?"
"You better take care of her. Make sure she eats and get her to school on time or I'll end you. Goodnight."
Before Ryujin could even say something in response, the phone beeped, signaling the end of the call. She hands the phone back to Yeji.
"That was quick." Yeji accepts the device, setting it down on the cushion beside her. "What did she say?"
"H- have you eaten?"
"She told me to eat before I left the house. I ate while Lia was on her way to get me." Her eyebrows furrow, confused by the random question. "Why?"
"Your mom said to make sure you eat, so you're going to have to eat again."
"No way. I'm not hungry, and she won't know if I eat again or not."
"It might eat at my conscience though." Or I might be murdered she thought to herself.
"I'll think about it." Yeji offers. "Fair enough?"
"I guess—"
RIIIIIIINNNNGGGG!
Both girls turn their heads to Ryujin's room where they hear a phone ringing. Although the blue-haired girl had no care or intention to answer the call, her girlfriend felt otherwise. "You want to get that?"
"Nope. I want to be with you."
"Stop being cuuuuuute." Yeji pinches her cheeks, rubbing their noses together. "It might be important."
"Who's more important than you?"
Caught off guard by the flirty remark, Yeji stumbles over her words. Her face flushes and her cheeks puff momentarily with an 'annoyed' huff. It was a poor attempt considering she shields her face right after to hide the embarrassment. "S- stop. Go get it."
