"I'm surprised you let me feed you."
"I had hope you wouldn't embarrass me in front of all of these people."
"On that note, " Yeji wiggled her brows, "thanks for the idea."
"Why are you like this?" Ryujin pouted, stuffing her face with some fries. Yeji considered herself lucky to have someone who didn't fake any of their normal behaviors and remained true to their self. She adored the puffed cheeks.
"Maybe I want to get back at you for nearly tickling me to death earlier." Yeji shrugged, half serious. "I could hardly breathe and besides, you're always messing with me."
"First of all," she raised her index finger in the air before she resumed speaking. "That wasn't embarrassing. Thus it doesn't count."
"Says who?"
"Says Ryujin...?"
"Are you asking or telling me?"
"Both? Perhaps..."
Ryujin chuckled, nervously rubbing the back of her neck. Getting chased through the mall by a very irritated girlfriend while on a full stomach wasn't the most pleasant idea. Even so, she prepared to run. However, a wave of relief washed over as Yeji's arched brow lowered. It seemed she was safe for now.
"Ah, you're so cute. Come here." Yeji beamed, scooting closer to her girlfriend, wrapping her arm around her shoulder and pecking her cheek. "What do you want to do after this?"
"You bought the food and let me choose where to eat. I'm paying next, so I'll let you choose."
"But I'm asking you because I don't know what to do." Yeji removed her arm, choosing to rest her head on Ryujin's shoulder instead. Neither of them cared much about being clingy in public. "Don't make this difficult."
"Okay... Do you want to stay out or do you want us to do something at home?"
Ryujin didn't get an answer but she felt the corners of the brunette's mouth lift upward against her shoulder, followed by a giggle. She peered down, tilting her head, genuinely confused. "Was something I said funny?"
"Not at all."
"Then why the cheesy grin?" Of course, Ryujin took pleasure in seeing Yeji gleam with joy but her own smile was short-lived once something crossed her mind. She instantly sat up straight, scanning the food court to see if anyone had been looking their way. "Is it towards someone else??? Tell me who," she huffed.
Yeji cracked up, and Ryujin felt more lost. Did the laugh suggest what she said was funny or correct? Eyelids flickered toward the not-so-silent reaction she received.
Once the brunette was done laughing at the question, she adjusted her posture and propped her elbow against the table, allowing her cheek to rest against her palm. "You're cute when you're jealous."
"All I did was ask a question and you're making fun of me. Context please??"
"There's no one else, Ryuddaeng," Yeji clarified, her eyes squinting as she smiled happily, gazing at the other. "You said home. I just love the way it sounds, fantasizing as if it was really only ours."
