The two teens sat face to face in the room. Peter was more than terrified of speaking, not because of the Crawlers, but because he didn't know what to say to her.

"You can talk in here, you know?" She said lowly looking up from her lap.

He looked her in the eyes and nodded.

They sat there in silence again. Peter wanted to punch himself in the face.

'JUST TALK TO HER!' He shouted at himself.

"Peter." She spoke again.

Peter's face looked rather surprised, his brown eyes met her's once again when he realized he'd never properly introduced himself to her since they'd been together.

"That is your name, isn't it?" She asked, her constant finger fiddling coming to a stop afraid that she'd confused the boy with someone else. "Peter Parker?" She asked.

He nodded again, still not finding the strength to speak.

"Okay..." she huffed.
"Well I'm-

"Y/n... y/n, l/n." he spoke softly. "I- uh, I already kn-know your name."

She nodded, y/n pressed her back against the spongey wall behind her, searching for her next question.

"You knew my name?" He asked.

She knitted her eyebrows together. "of course I knew your name." she almost scoffed. "Why wouldn't I?"

Peter felt fireworks explode inside him.

"Because you're like, really popular, people like you don't notice people like me."

Y/n's heart shattered, she felt sick that he'd thought like that.

"People like me?" She whispered to herself not knowing Peter could hear her.

Peter had a moment of realization, "I swear I didn't mean it like that." He spoke scooting closer to her to show how sincere he was being with his apology.

"It's okay," She smiled. "it's not like you were invisible to me, "

Peter scoffed.

"What?" She asked.

"It sure seemed like I was invisible, well..to you at least,"

"Peter-

"I saw the way you looked at me," He cut her off.
"When we got here." He was now looking her in the eyes.

he loved her eyes.

"You looked at me like you were afraid of me, like I was gonna hurt you. I bet you didn't even know I lived on the third floor," He sighed breaking the sad connection between their eyes.

She almost gasped, "Third floor?" She asked, "That's not possible, I've been living here for-

"4 years," He finished for her, "I know, " he said.

"You went to Queen's middle. I know that because in 6th grade, we rode the same bus for almost a year until I started walking." he played with his fingers.

"You were popular in middle school too. I'm sorry if that makes me seem like a stalker or something, it's just...I wanted to be your friend for so long, " he sighed. "We had classes together for years, there were times I hopped just to be your lab partner or be in the same group as you, and I just didn't understand why, now we're juniors and this is the most time we've ever spent together."

"I Don't think you're weird, or a stalker...but, I am sorry." (y/n) apologized.

Peter almost smiled, but his mind slowly overcame him. He'd realized how shitty he'd made her feel, he truly made her disgusted with herself, and that was the last thing he ever wanted to do.

"If it makes you feel any better, I really meant it when I said, you weren't invisible." She smiled. "We had Ms. Richardson 8th grade year, I remember because you were top of the class," She laughed.

"You're still the genius I remember you being, maybe that's why Flash hated you so much." She laughed remembering the times Flash would get jealous just because Peter existed.

"This might sound weird but, you have a very distinct touch. I remember this time freshman year MJ and I's chemistry lab got all messed up. And I reached to grab what I thought was distilled water. But it was actually a gamma radiation sample." She said looking up at the ceiling as if it was helping her remember. "You stopped me. It's like my skin knows what you feel like." She squinted.

As if all Peter needed was someone to jog his memory he recalled the entire thing within seconds.

"How about we wanna try again?" Peter suggest.

"And how do we do that?" Y/n asked with a grin.

Peter inched his way up to her "Hi, I'm your old friend Peter Spider-Man Parker," He laughed.

She chuckled,"Hi, Peter, I'm your old friend, y/n, (y/ln) Romanoff."

He reached his hand out to her.

She looked at his hand and willingly shook it. "It's nice to re-meet you Peter."

"It's nice to re-meet you too."
