I think back to when
Life was good, I was content
•••
But it's been so many years
I can't remember how it feels.
•••Y/n woke up to what she assumed to be the next day.
Her head laid against the cold wooden floor while she craved a blanket, something to keep her warm.
She sat up seeing Peter curled up against the wall behind him. She noticed how far away he was.
She crawled over to him, feeling the blankets against her thin jeans.
She reached her hand out finally touching his arm.
'warm,' she thought.
Peter laid there, hugging himself sleeping away his stress.
She thought about waking him up. But chose to leave him alone she couldn't help but notice how soft his expression had become. She saw how calm and unbothered he was while sleeping.
She let her hand slide the floor, deciding it'd be best if he could catch more rest.
'Who's the weirdo now?' she practically scoffed to herself.
She sighed quietly before collecting the loose blankets making sure to leave one for Peter before making her way back to the class panic room.
She laid the blankets and out on the floor and left them.
She stood up looking at everything.
"Pillows, blankets, backpacks, food, " she listed the items in front of her.
'it looks like a prison cell.' she thought.
Her mind began to wonder.
'Do something aunt Tasha would do!'
She smiled carefully rushing out of the room.
She went to the bathroom first, removing cleaning supplies and spare rolls of toilet paper from the small shelf that rested against the wall.
Beginning careful to maintain the silence, she picked up the white wired shelf seating it in the sound booth.
She put the food on the shelves, trying to organize it the best she could.
Then she laid the blankets out, creating a "bed", complemented by the two pillows she threw on top.
she grinned at the somewhat decorated room.
'light..' that was the only thing that seemed to fill her mind.
She decided to walk to her room, searching for the Christmas lights that once decorated her room.
With the help of her memory that seemed to only work when it wanted to, she found the lights in an old shoebox underneath her bed.
Y/n finally made it back to the room deciding to place the lights on the floor, outlining the room's interior.
She finally turned the lights on.
'Thank God they're battery powered.'"Wow."
Y/n jumped hearing the sudden sound of Peter's voice behind her.
"Sorry," he half-smiled.
"It's okay, at least I know you aren't dead, you only slept for 100 years." She exaggerated with a grin.
Peter chuckled crossing his arms over his chest with a nod.
"You did really good," Peter added.
"You really like it?" Y/n asked.
"Yeah," he nodded. "it makes me feel like I'm home." he shrugged.
She sniggerd.
"Even with me here?" she somewhat joked."Especially with you here."
