I'll die anyway.

Both y/n and Peter loved being around each other, but they hated the fact that outside wasn't an option anymore. They'd now been together for two weeks.

This was their place of protection, a place where they could talk, be somewhat of themselves.

"Peter." Y/n mumbled.

"Yeah?"

"Do you think it'll get better?" She asked her back meeting the floor.

Peter was quite. He thought for a while. "I don't know, " he finally admitted, his body falling in the opposite direction so their heads we're parallel each other.

"What if it doesn't?" She asked, turning her head turning to face his.

He turned to her, his nose lightly brushing against hers. "then we'll stick together, " he smiled, "We're already pretty good at it if you ask me."

She smiled back, her eyes still unconsciously glued to his.

"I like you, Peter, " she whispered with a grin. "I really wish we were friends back when everything wasn't like this."

Peter's smile grew wider, a shade of red overtaking his pale cheeks.

"Me too,"

The two spent the rest of their evening laid next to Peter's computer. Both y/n and Peter laid on their stomachs their elbows against the ground to keep their heads propped up.

"How'd you even know about this?" Y/n asked tilting her head at the computer.

"Oh, I had my friend Ned hacked into this police satellite, Spider-Man business."

Y/n sighed her palm coming in contact with her forehead.

"What?" Peter asked.

"We've been listening to an NYPD satellite all-day Peter."

He still looked confused, "We have to listen to an emergency broadcast, you know, like the stuff that shows up on our phones when a flood or something is gonna happen." Y/n reached for his computer, unconsciously typing in her way into an Emergency broadcasting system. "As long as the buildings satellite stays up we'll have access to the Internet, which means access to the people who could help us."

Peter's mouth sat agape "how'd you-

she sighed using her fingers to close the gap that parted his lips, "I saw MJ do it once,"

"You're a genius, " he blinked.

She shrugged a smirk plastered clean across her face. Peter reached for his phone knowing it'd been charged just enough for him to do what he wanted.

He plugged his earbuds into the bottom, then handed one to y/n.

"Put this in,"

Doing as she was told she positioned the earbud comfortably into her right ear.

She sighed, her back met with the floor. She shut her eyes, her left hand resting on her stomach.

Peter put his earbud in before laying down next to her, his shoulder touching hers. He pressed play on his phone, allowing the music to soothe them both.

The girl didn't know the song, but she didn't complain. Peter turned his head to look at her, his eyes fixing on her hand that rested on the floor. He didn't think when he slid his fingers between hers, he didn't want to.

Y/n on the other half had felt a warmth in her body she didn't know how to explain. She slowly brought herself to grip his hand, melting over his ability to warm her hands with his, she moved her body closer, bringing her head to rest on his arm.

Both Peter and y/n fell asleep peacefully that night.

The best way they knew how.
