Lily's POV

I woke up to someone practically banging our door down, making me furrow my brows as I groaned, hearing Jaden groan from beside me. Him and I had stayed up pretty late and I wound up practically passing out on him.

Dexter's not due till three?

I rolled over to check the time, my eyes widening when I saw that it was half three and I'd missed fifteen calls and had over fifty texts from Dexter.
"Oh shit." I mumbled, pulling myself up from Jaden and his bed.
"What is it?" Jaden asked in a tired and husky voice as he rubbed his eyes.
"It's half three, Dexter's here. Imma go let him in, you get ready." I ordered, straightening myself out a little before running down the stairs, only to see Josh letting Dexter and Katelyn in.
Her? Again?

"I'm sorry, Jaden and I overslept, we didn't mean to-"
"It's fine, idiot. Just go get ready, be quick."
"Oh, I'll help her!" Exclaimed Katelyn excitedly, making me do a double take. What?
"Uh, sure, okay. C'mon!"

Katelyn and I made our way up to my bedroom, and I allowed her to have free-reign of my closet whilst I took a shower and everything.

When I came back, only wrapped in a towel may I add, Katelyn had sorted me out some clothes, and was standing excitedly at my vanity with a massive grin on her face, holding a set of curlers. I gave her a tight smile in reply. Oh boy, she's extra.

I was ushered onto the chair near my vanity, and she blow-dried my hair before curling it. That took an hour. Then she added a little bit of makeup before allowing me to get dressed.

I had to admit, she kinda had good taste.

After a total of an hour and a half, I was ready, and Katelyn and I made our way back down the stairs, meeting Dexter, Jaden, Josh, Bryce and Kio.
Dexter was ranting to the lot of them, about what I had no idea and honestly I felt like I probably didn't want to know.
"Dex, I'm ready." I told him, drawing the boys attention towards me. What I was wearing wasn't my normal style, not really anyway, I'd worn the dress once and that was when I was trying it on, and it was a bit more showing than I was used to.
"Katelyn, baby, what have you done to Lily?... She looks badass!"
Um, don't I always?

I smiled a bit, giving a nervous laugh as Katelyn smiled widely.
"I did a great job, didn't I? C'mon then, the photos won't take themselves!"
Jaden and I shared a look, making us both chuckle as we rolled our eyes and he stood up. I grabbed his hand, more so out of natural habit, and intertwined our fingers as we left, saying goodbye to the guys.

We got outside and apparently Dexter had brought fairylights, and had a great idea on how to use them.

"Go stand in the road." Demanded the blonde haired boy with the camera around his neck.
"What?" Choked out Jaden and I, making him roll his eyes.
"Trust me. Quick, while it's empty, in the road."
Jaden and I shared a look but did as we were told anyway. We were told to face each other, which we did, and get as close as possible, resulting in us both becoming very nervous as my chest touched his, himself holding me as close as possible without squeezing me to the point where it'd hurt. With that, Dexter grabbed his fairylights and began to wrap them around us.
Oh jeez, we're really frigging close.

I hesitantly looked up, meeting his gaze and gave him a shy and nervous smile, which he returned. Sure, we'd been this close every time we'd hugged or something, but being practically tied together was a bit different, and normally I'd have the option to nuzzle into his chest or the crook of his neck, and this time I had no choice but to look directly at him.
"So... this is interesting." I awkwardly began, inwardly cussing myself out.
He chuckled a bit.
"It was your idea-"
"Actually, it was Dexter's." I corrected him.
