Lily's POV
"Jay, you up?" I whispered, poking my head into his room. I wasn't sure what time it was, but it felt like I'd been tossing and turning in my bed for hours.
I heard a small groan, followed by some movement.
"Lil?" Jaden groaned, clearly not completely sure if it was me or not.
"Yeah. I, uh, I can't sleep. Sorry." I nervously told him, suddenly feeling guilty for disturbing him. I heard a sigh.
"I can't either, don't worry."
"Oh. What's keeping you up?" I wondered, slight concern evident in my tone as I walked into his room properly, though for some reason still only stood by his door. Why was I suddenly nervous around this boy?"Just... girl problems."
"Mads?" I guessed, feeling my heart practically drop to my stomach as I did so.
"No, not Mads. We've been broken up for ages now... it's someone else. But I don't wanna talk about it. What's keeping you up?"
I gave a nervous laugh before replying, "I think I'd rather talk about your problems."
Truth be told, it was Jaden keeping me up. I didn't even understand why, but he suddenly consumed at least half of my thoughts- but I was insistent, I didn't like Jaden. He gave a slight chuckle from his bed, a tired chuckle but a cute one nonetheless.
"You gonna come cuddle or what?"
I smiled to myself as I made my way over, getting under his covers and hesitantly laying my head on his chest, listening to his heart beat.
"C'mon, tell me what's up?"
I sighed.
"Just boy problems."
"Oh? W-what kind of problems?"
I was flattered by his genuine interest, so took a deep breath before replying, "There's just this guy, he's on my mind a lot all of a sudden, but we're just friends- and I only want to be friends with him. I... I don't think I'd be any good for him, y'know, relationship wise, but I know I'm a good friend. I just don't understand why I'm suddenly questioning everything now, but I am and it's annoying." I explained, trying not to let on too much. I was pretty sure he nodded.
"I get that. Kinda like my problem: like me and... this girl, we're just friends but I know I like her, but I don't want to ruin anything by telling her."
"Exactly! Plus, like... there's things he doesn't know, y'know?"
"Like what?" He questioned.
"Just things. I don't wanna talk about them. Nobody knows but Dex, and that's how it's staying."
"Guessing it's not Dex then." He joked, chuckling slightly which made me giggle too.
"No, definitely not Dex."
"Payton?" He guessed and I rolled my eyes, groaning.
"We're not playing the guessing game. Go to sleep, Jay."
"Boring but fine. Sweet dreams, Lil."
"And you... Wuv you."
"Wuv you too."~~~●~~~
I was rudely awoken by what sounded like an "Awe." Coming from right next to Jaden. My eyes shot open, though I was unable to move since I didn't want to wake up Jaden. I lifted my head slightly, coming face to face with Anthony, who had his phone out. Ugh, forgot to shut the door last night. Fml.
"Anthony shut up, you'll wake Jaden." I scolded, "ShUt Up, YoU'lL wAkE jAdEn." He mimicked in an overly girly voice, making me roll my eyes.
"Imma fight you."
"But then you'll wake Jaden." He retorted.
"Ugh. Get out, go annoy Avani or something."
"You realise it's twelve, right?"
That made my eyes widen. Had I really slept in late again?
"How the heck?" I muttered, mostly to myself since Anthony was leaving the room.I carefully grabbed my phone from out of the hoodie pocket, being careful not to wake up Jaden in doing so, opening it up to Instagram to see that Anthony had tagged me in a post. Here we go.
