Lily's POV

I woke up and instantly made my way downstairs, determined to drink my coffee and some water afterwards, determined to not have a repeat of the day before.

I practically downed my cup of coffee as soon as it was cool enough to drink, then proceeded to fill up a water bottle that I'd only normally used when going for a jog.

"Princess?" Came the familiar voice of Jaden and I resisted the urge to sigh as I turned to face the beautiful boy.
"I'm sorry about last night." I apologised for what felt like the hundredth time and he shook his head, quickly walking over and engulfing me in a tight hug, which I hesitantly accepted, allowing myself to become intoxicated by his scent.
"It's okay... I'm sorry too." He replied, making my brows furrowed as I fought off the thoughts of the worst.
"Why? What for?" I asked, pulling away from him enough to meet his gaze.
"For asking about Mads. It was dumb and I get it. You had all right to be mad."
I quickly shook my head.
"No, no, Jay. It's fine-"
"You'd say it's fine even if it wasn't." He interrupted me with a knowing tone and a smug look which made me smile a little as I rolled my eyes.
"Good point." I muttered in agreement, knowing that was exactly what I was doing right now and he chuckled a little at me.
"I just want us to be honest with each other from now on, completely." He told me, looking dead into my eyes like he was peering into my soul and I nervously agreed.
"O-okay."
"Good... So, you had a rough day yesterday?"

Fuck.

"Yeah, um..right, promise not to kick off?" I asked, extending my pinky instantly and he unsurely intertwined mine with his own.
"I promise."
"Well, long story short, Payt friend dumped me. Or friend put me on a break till his feeling, like, go or whatever." I explained, feeling like I had to emphasise the friend part, "and then I woke up to Mads calling you and it was a bit of a shock to the system, then you actually went to talk to her which was like 'okay I know I gave you the choice but c'mon' and then... well, y'know what happened next." I finished and he stayed silent for a minute and I began to worry about what I'd said. I know I was supposed to be honest but was that too honest?

"Sorry, Princess. I didn't even think. It was so stupid of me-"
"No, it wasn't, Jay. It's just like how I answered the call from Blake. I didn't have any bad intentions, I was just curious." I tried to reassure him.
"I know but-"
"No buts, please. I don't have it in me to focus on multiple points at the moment." I told him and he chuckled softly as he nodded, hugging me again.

"I feel like the luckiest guy in the world when I'm with you." Jaden told me absentmindedly, probably not meaning for it to come out.
"I never want to live without you." He added before resting his lips on the top of my head as if in deep thought and I was a little taken back by the sudden decloration but nonetheless I grinned at his words.

"Y'know, I thought you were just some cringey fuck boy when I first met you-"
"Ghee thanks."
"Let me finish! I found it so hard to believe you were genuinely that nice and I swore to God I'd never give you the time of day... and then the first show happened and I was so nervous, do you remember?" I paused, allowing him to nod and myself to giggle as I shook my head before continuing, "You walked over with the dumbest nervous look on your face and offered me a bottle of water. Then it kinda turned into a thing, and before every show you'd bring me a bottle of water. I remember thinking you were so weird."
"And then the last day..." Jaden trailed off, realising where I was going as he pulled away from me to look at me and I nodded.
"And then the last day you brought me the biggest bottle of water I'd ever seen," "This should tie you over till you get home." We both quoted, laughing at the end, "And from that day onwards I actually couldn't imagine my life without you. I never told you that, obviously, but I'd gotten so used to seeing you. So I added you on Snapchat and thanked you for the water when I got home-"
"You told me your friend took your phone." He remembered and I blushed a little, biting back a laugh as I shook my head.
"I thought it was pretty obvious I didn't actually have any friends." I badly defended my lie and he just chuckled as he shook his head.
"The point is," I began, "I couldn't imagine my life without you even back then. You amazed me even back then; you were just so nice and kind and genuine. Messaging you was the best decision I've ever made."
"Bringing you water was the best decision I've ever made then... next to telling you I love you."

"I'm stubborn and annoying and clingy, but I love you too. And whilst we're gonna argue sometimes, I hope I never lose you." I confessed, wrapping my arms around the back of his neck with a big smile, which he returned as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"I never want to lose you either."
"Guess you're stuck with me then." I joked and he wrapped his arms tighter around me, chuckling a little.
"That's fine by me."

And suddenly everything felt right. I felt at ease, I felt calm and I felt like I belonged. I really had something good here with all of the guys: Bryce, my older brother or father figure, the other guys like brother figures or friends, Dexter my best and closest friend and, when Payton finally contacted me again (which would happen a few weeks later), my wonderful and most understanding best friend.

I didn't know how to end this book so I hope this is okay. This book has been so fun to write, thank you so much for all of the support!
