Lily's POV

"Princess?" Jaden muttered and I hummed in response, not bothering to look up from what I was doing: which was literally just trailing my nails up and down his torso as my head rested on his bare chest as he played with my hair. We were supposed to be trying to get to sleep, since it was kind of late, but it just wasn't happening.

"I've been thinking..." he began and I giggled a little, now turning to lay on my stomach so I could face him.
"Well that's never a good sign." I joked and he playfully rolled his eyes, tugging my hair a little since his hand was already there.
"Fine. What about?"

"Well... there's still kind of a lot I don't know about you. Like, your past and stuff." Oh jeez, here we go.
I shrugged despite my sudden nervous feeling, offering an innocent smile as I replied, "Trust me, it's better that way."
He gave me an inquisitive look.
"Is it though? I feel like I should know at least something-"
"

Trust me, you shouldn't-"
"But Dexter should?" He cut me off, sarcasm evident in his tone and I sighed as I fell onto my back.
"Dex only knows because he witnessed part of it and then I just caved and told him everything. I'd take it back if I could."
"He witnessed part of what?" Probed the boy besides me and I turned my head to face him with an unimpressed look.
"It's not something I like talking about, okay? Drop it, Jay." I told him sternly, a sudden anger in my tone which was natural whenever anyone brought up this kind of topic with me. There were simply things that had happened in my life that I didn't like talking about and probably never would.
"But-"
"Drop it, Jay." I repeated, rolling my eyes now, my tone much harsher than what I'd wanted it to be.
"Do you trust me?" He suddenly asked, and I instantly felt myself tense. Trust was a big thing, and obviously important, but asking someone with obvious trust issues if they trust you isn't the move.

"I love you, Jay. Please can you just let me sleep?" I whined, turning onto my side as to not face him anymore. I heard him sigh as his arm went around my waist which made me flinch a little, not expecting him to still cuddle me after our 'almost argument'.
"I love you too." He told me sweetly, leaning over to place a kiss on my cheek which made me smile despite what had just happened. Truth be told, I did trust Jaden, but I was still a little cautious. He would be my first public relationship (when I finally grew the balls to go public, anyway) and that opened up a lot of other ways to hurt me, maybe not intentionally either but everyone knows how things are blown out of proportion.

Again, it felt like I blinked and suddenly it was morning.

With a sigh I pried myself out of Jaden's grasp and allowed myself out of his room, picking up my phone of course.

I did my usual routine of making a coffee and eating a breakfast bar, also making a coffee for Jaden as he seemed to wake up not long after me lately.

As always, Jaden strolled in tiredly a couple of minutes later. I hoped the events of the night prior were going to be left alone today, hoping maybe he'd taken the hint. It seemed like he had as he pecked my cheek and muttered a 'Good morning' before grabbing his drink.

"So, I'm a little busy today. Might not be able to talk a lot." He told me and I nodded in understanding, knowing he was shooting the video for 'Angels and Demons'.
"That's fine, Love. Have fun and I'll leave my phone on loud so we can talk whenever you have a moment." I replied, offering him a kind smile which didn't match his surprised look. Perhaps he'd expected me to freak or something...?
