Chapter 22 : Art facing the art

I met a girl when I was a child. I do not understand why she always wants to accompany me even though I prefer to be alone. But suddenly, one day I can't understand why every time I see her smile my day lightens up. She loves ice-cream, she is a fun to be with type of person, kind and polite. While I am, quiet and not friendly. Until I was happy to be with her.

I woke up feeling like something was moving around, My eyes winded when i saw my "Mommy?"

"Hey son. How are feelin'?" She asked worriedly. "Sorry for not being here po ha."

"It's fine. What are you doing po?"

"You're going home" mom said happily, I avoided my mom gaze "What's wrong? I thought you want to go home na?"

I just didn't speak because i was full of sadness. Everything was ready and I left the room. I looked around hoping to see her, but I did not see her even her Mom. I wonder why we went straight to the airport.

"We're going to Ninang Majesty"

"Ninang?" My mood slightly brighten. "I miss ninang"

A FEW days, weeks, months and years passed. I was able to finish my studies, the life I grew up in was good, I met many people, but my heart was still looking for someone. Maybe because she was the first person to make me happy, made me feel what I wanted to experience during those time.

I met Noam, he was a playboy but a sensible friend. Until we met Raiken, Toby and Neil followed. We were surprised to find that we both had a passion for music, so every time we went out we sang. Until we think of making a band, not to be famous or arrogant but to make us love our passion even more.

I accidentaly saw the photo of Raiken with his girl friends. I was distracted by a woman in the photo. She seemed so familiar that I could not understand.

When I got home, I heard mommy talking to Ninang as if she was being asked to do something. On the table there were pictures that were slightly exposed so I peeked at it while Mommy was busy talking on her phone.

This is one of the women in raiken's photo. She is Ninang's daughter? What? How?

I chose to stay here in the Philippines, even though I was always left alone because Mom was always busy because of her scheduled meeting. So she decided to let me stay with my guy friends in one place.

I noticed that Raiken was busy typing on his cellphone, until he waved at someone... Wait, is that her? I just realized I was stunned by her, they told us we were about to start. I just remembered that we had seen them before. But I was always busy then and I did not notice them much.

I also feel a little jealous because I feel like Noam like her. Especially when we were together at Aki's birthday Celebration.

There's something on her that i want to know.

Magkasama kami pero bakit parang ang layo niya? Gusto ko siya makausap, makita siyang ngumiti na ako ang dahilan. Hahawakan ang kamay niya para alalayan. Pero hanggang sana na lang muna ako, ang mahalaga nakikita ko siya masaya.

Today is Hira's graduation. I greeted her when I had a chance to approach her. She's cute when she smiles. But I did not expect to see...
