Hello Internet,

I'm happy. This past week has been pretty good. My birthday was Dec. 2nd and it was great. I normally don't look forward to my birthday, mainly because they're not entierly important to me, but I turned 16. Big year. As my mom does every year, she brought me a lunch of my choosing, which I enjoyed. My dad called me at lunch too. It was awkward, as always, and I hated it, but it was nice. When I got home, no one was there because they were working. I was alone. The one day I didn't want to be home alone, I was, but it was fine. My mom and grandmom got home at the same time, giving me my gifts, and let me tell you, I was fucking happy.

My grandmother gave me 50$ and got me a new laptop (white acer chromebook, which I really like). It's a small little travel computer that I plan to mostly do work on, for school and for future projects, i.e. YouTube and stuff for my band. What made me the happiest was my mom's gift. SHE GOT ME A RECORD PLAYER. I've been dying to get one, and since they became popular again, I wanted it even more. It's black with a red velvet interior. I love it so much.

Saturday, the 6th, I had my birthday party. I haven't had one since I was 10, so I was very excited for this one. It wasn't a huge sweet sixteen. I didn't want that. Instead, my mom got a hotel room and 6 of my friends hung out. I decorated the hotel room, and it looked really nice. We went to Dave & Busters for dinner and we pooled together over 10,000 tickets at the arcade. Back at the hotel, we had cake and a shit ton of snacks, our own icecream tubs, we did stupid improv games, played ukulele (mostly me), chatted with strangers on Omegle for hours... The most fun I'd had in a long time. Gift wise, I got the tradtional box of Raisin Brand (it's a weird tradition, I realize), the Game Of Thrones book series, and just a bunch of random gifts like a WWE coloring book.

The next day, we went to a mall that we don't usually go to, that's a lot better then the local one. I was finally able to get the two AP magazines with Motionless In White, clothes, and most importantly, a Lana Del Rey record. I adore Lana Del Rey to no end (less than Lorde, of course, but whatever) and I found her Born To Die record on vinyl for cheap at Urban Outfiters. It sounds so pretty on my record player. Fuck, this was the best birthday. (Photo of all of us in the external link)

Now it's Monday, and I'm angry-ish. Being raised as an only child, I enjoy being alone at all costs. This weekend, I was with too many people for too many hours. By the end of yesterday, I just about snapped at everyone. I want nothing to do with people my age and younger today.

But, in happy news, a group of students peacefully protested at school about all of the police brutality against blacks. I'm so proud of them.

Until next time,
