Valentine had made his way to my cell, opening the door and walking in with Clary and Jace. He walked closer than the other two and pulled me to my feet.

"You told Magnus Bane you were safe, how?" He asked me, hand tightly wrapped with my hair. I spit at him in return.

He let out a dark chuckle and wiped it off his face, throwing me to the ground. "Not all your precious followers believe in you." I lied to him.

"If you can't follow me too, then I see no further use for you. You clearly are the weakest Herondale." My eyebrows scrunched together, confused with his words that had another meaning. He noticed the look and let out another light laugh, looking at Jace. "You didn't tell her."

"Tell me what?" I asked firmly.

"In your little meeting earlier, I would've assumed you told her after getting the information I wanted." Fear struck my core. My heart dropped through my stomach.

"Not another word." Jace pointed his finger at Valentine and I stood, on the verge of tears.

Eighteen years I had kept the secret of my powers from him, and one small slip to Jace and he told Valentine everything he needed to keep me forever. How could he betray me? Clary looked just as surprised.

"Do you want to do the honors or shall I?" He asked the blonde. Jace yelled, punching him in the face.

"Shut up!" I jumped back, further into the cell as he yelled.

After laughing some more, like the madman he is, Valentine turned back to me. "I had already told Jace, but apparently he doesn't like to spill. Your brother is still alive."

I shook my head, "No. That's not possible. I saw my mother die with my brother in her belly still." Then I remembered the dream I had with my mother. She had told me the same thing.

"I pulled your brother out of her after she died, right before I took you, too. But, you'll never find him." His smirk told us all that he knew something we didn't.

This time, I went to punch him, but Clary jumped forward, holding me back.

This was something I'd talk with Jace about later. I wanted to believe he didn't tell me for a reason. And I needed to know why he told Valentine about my powers.

Tears streamed down my face as they all left the room, still leaving me inside of it. Clary was the last one out and as she shut the door.

I looked down at the paper she slipped into my hand from when she held me back from Valentine.

I'll come to find you when we're escaping.

All I had to do was wait for Clary, but it had been hours already and I didn't want to fall asleep and be sleeping when the time came.

Eventually, after some time, after seething in rage at Jace and Valentine, Clary and someone I didn't recognize came to my cell and let me out.

"Finally," I told them. "Who's this?"

"Her name is Dot. It's a long story." She let me out of the cell and we all rushed around through the halls. I had no idea where I was going, but the other two women seemed to know so I didn't question it.

"I'm sorry for telling Jace about your powers. I was just confused and didn't know who else to tell." Clary told me. I sighed as we turned another hall corner. A Circle member stood there and before he could say anything, I threw my hand out. My purple smoke choking him until he was unconscious.
