"I told you and you didn't believe me," I told the woman. "You told me I was naive just like my mother. Can you possibly understand what I've been feeling during this? I am not naive or foolish. I am a survivor. I survived a decade of torture from that man and during when I found a way to portal away... I thought of family and hoped it would take me to you." Imogen stared into my eyes, watching them tear up again out of frustration more than anything. "But they always led me back to this little boy. I thought my magic just wasn't working correctly since I hardly ever used it. But it was taking me to my brother this whole time. To Jace and while I hadn't confirmed it until now, I was starting to suspect it. But I would never side with Valentine, and just because my mother did, doesn't make me her. You have no idea the full extent of what she went through." I was the first to leave the basement to find help. Alec followed after me. Once he made it to the main floor, he caught up to me very fast.
"Hey, hey." He grabbed me and I turned into his arms. "It's okay, Bianca. We're going to get him back. He's my parabatai and I would never let anything happen to him."
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you I suspected Jace. I wanted more concrete proof." I looked up at him and I could tell he was still confused about everything.
"That doesn't matter, okay? I understand. What matters is getting Jace back. Go find Clary, I'll speak with Imogen and let Magnus out of the cell." He grabbed my face with his hands, pressing a kiss on my lips. "I love you, okay?" I settled down my emotions.
"I love you." He stared into my eyes as we spoke before leaving. I looked around the Ops, not finding Clary so I tried searching the entire Institute before finally finding her and Sebastian in the greenhouse.
"Clary, we need to go. Bring Sebastian, I don't care. Jace is in trouble and we'll explain on the way." They jumped up, following me to the armory center to grab our weapons.
I noticed Isaac come up to me, "Woah, where are you all going in a rush?"
"Okay since you're both here. Long story short, we were right. Azazel switched Magnus and Valentine in opposite bodies. The real Valentine is now holding Jace hostage until we give him his body, in which Magnus is currently residing. Alec is speaking with the Inquisitor and releasing Magnus so we can save Jace and recapture Valentine, hopefully, in his own body."
Everyone stared at me and I worried they didn't follow along.
"Right," Isaac started, "When do we leave?" He asked, grabbing his own weapons.
"Right now." Alec came up with Magnus.

We were at Magnus' apartment, walking to the door as soon as Magnus walked in. "I don't know why you felt you need to bring him here," Alec told Clary. I smirked at the remark.
"We need all the help we can get and you didn't say anything about Isaac being here." She rebutted.
I cut in, "Isaac and Magnus are dating. I only said bring Sebastian as you're right, we need everything so as for right now, let's all get along."
