Venus noticed Bellamy and Octavia sat at the edge of camp. She could see Octavia writhing in pain as Bellamy attempted to clean her wound. He just looked awkward and misplaced which was an unfamiliar look on Bellamy. "Hey, let me help." She said as she made her way over to the siblings. Bellamy hesitated for a second but eventually handed Venus the blood soaked rag that he had been rubbing Octavias wound with. Venus rung it out onto the ground and began to dab over the slice in the young girls leg, applying a small amount of pressure in order to absorb as much blood as possible. She then pulled off her over sized t shirt, leaving her in just a grey vest top, and ripped a large strip of it in order to create a bandage for Octavia. She could feel Bellamys eyes on her and immediately began to feel self conscious. The vest hung loose around her torso however dramatically tightened once it reached her chest. Venus had never worn something so provocative in her life. Usually, the only skin that was on show was her hands and any above her neck.

"What the hell was it?" Bellamy asked Octavia, finally managing to pull his eyes away from Venus.

"I don't know. The others said it looked like a giant snake." Octavia replied with a shrug.

"There you go. Does it still hurt?" Venus asked Octavia as she pushed her hair back from her eyes to take a look at her handy work.

Octavia nodded gratefully at Venus. " Nah, it was just a scratch." She told her as she tried to stand. Bellamy immediately grabbed her arm to support her and sat her back down. The concern in his eyes was evident and Venus found it endearing.

"No it's not, O. You could've been killed." He told her sternly. Octavia looked to Venus and dramatically rolled her eyes. Venus let out a small giggle however was quickly shut up by the glare that Bellamy fired at the girls for mocking him.

"She would have been if Jasper didn't jump in to pull her out." Clarke's tuneless voice rang out. She stood behind the trio, accompanied by Wells.

Octavias eyes were immediately drawn to the bags that the pair were carrying. "You guys leaving? I'm coming, too." She said as she tried to hobble over to them. Bellamy quickly intercepted her.

"No, no. No way. Not again." He said to his sister as he grabbed on to her bicep and led her back over to the rock. Octavia looked at Clarke pleadingly but she ignored her.

"He's right. Your leg's just gonna slow us down." Clarke said to Octavia in a supercilious tone. She then turned to Bellamy. "I'm here for you." Bellamy and Venus exchanged confused looks. "I hear you have a gun." Bellamy pulled up the corner of his t shirt to reveal a small hand gun, tucked into the waistband of his pants. Venus' eyes were immediately drawn to Bellamys chiselled abs. She quickly corrected herself and let her eyes fall on the gun. It was odd to see. Venus had heard so many stories about the devastation that guns had caused however it didn't look like a weapon of mass destruction; in fact it looked rather pathetic. Her sword looked more intimidating than that. "Good. Follow me." Clarke snapped to Bellamy as she began to walk away.

"And why would I do that?" Bellamy scoffed. Venus knew she needed to go with them on this trip in order to make sure her people remained undetected.

"Because it's the right thing to do. A good leader doesn't leave his people behind." Venus said looking at Bellamy with her eyebrows raised. He just looked at her confused and irritated. "We're in." She said as she looked at Clarke, with an overly friendly smile. Bellamy glared at her but suddenly realised that she had a plan. He reluctantly nodded.

"Murphy, come with us." Bellamy hollered. He then turned to Venus, who had already began walking behind Wells and Clarke and jogged to catch up with her. "So what's the plan, cutie?" He said as he nudged her in the shoulder.
