Venus had failed to get so much as a sliver of sleep. Her mind was racing with thoughts about Lincoln and her plan. By now he should almost be at TonDC. The dark haired girl sat up and began fiddling with the hem of the oversized, navy T-shirt that Bellamy had generously donated to her. He only gave her it in order to silence her incessant whining about how uncomfortable jeans were to sleep in however she still appreciated the kind gesture. She had worn it every night since he gave her it and due to the fact that that was a week ago, there was only a small trace of his scent left on it, which disappointed Venus. She pushed away her thin blanket, causing it to crumple up in a ball at the end of her cot. She then reached for her notebook that was underneath her bed and began looking through it in hope that it would be a welcome distraction.
Before she managed to get halfway through Bellamy peeled back the door to her tent. After scanning the room for a few seconds he let out a frustrated grunt, Venus assumed he was looking for something and had failed to find it. His mood quickly changed when his eyes fell on Venus, sat with her knees to her chest in his t shirt. Her dark hair was tied up in a loose ponytail, which was a change from her usual mess of waves. Bellamy liked it like that, he could see all of her defined features more clearly. Heat immediately rose to the younger girls cheeks when she caught him staring at her she quickly scrambled to pull the blanket back over her, covering her bare legs. "Um, hi?" Venus said confused as to why he had burst into her tent.
Bellamy refocused after getting distracted by Venus. "Sorry. Have you seen Octavia? I can't find her." He said in a panic stricken voice.
"No, I haven't." She informed him regretfully. "But I could help you look." She said as she clambered out of bed. Bellamy nodded at her in appreciation. The pair just stood their for a moment as Venus waited for him to leave her tent however he didn't get the message. "I need to get changed." She told him gesturing to the door.
"I think you look perfectly fine like that, cutie." Bellamy smirked as he scanned her body and let his eyes linger on her bare legs. Venus lobbed her pillow at him, causing him to flinch before he held in hands up in mock surrender. He let out a small chuckle as he left her tent.
After an hour of desperately searching the camp for the younger Blake, Bellamy and Venus realised that it was useless. He woke up the rest of their camp members and made them gather around a large makeshift bucket of weapons. "My sisters been out there, alone, for 12 hours. Arm up. We're not coming back with out her." He commanded and the delinquents did as he said.
The group were about to leave when they were all distracted by what appeared to be a meteor shower. "It's beautiful." Venus stated to Bellamy.
"It sure is." He responded. She looked over to him but he wasn't looking at the sky; he was looking at her. Once he realised she'd caught him he just looked up, awkwardly, not saying anything.
"They didn't work. They didn't see the flares." They heard Raven declare from across the crowd. She was staring furiously up at the night sky.
"A meteor shower tells you that?" Bellamy scoffed to the younger girl, as if she was stupid. Ravens menacing glare quickly found a new target as she locked eyes with Bellamy.
"It's not a meteor shower, it's a funeral. Hundreds of bodies being returned to the earth from the ark. This is what it looks like from the other side. They didn't get our message." Clarke explained in her annoying, know it all manner. Venus felt a massive wave of relief overtake her body. This meant that they had more time to organise peace.
"This is all because of you!" Raven charged towards him and shoved Bellamy backwards. She barely stirred a reaction from him but it still angered Venus that she had the audacity to attack him when she didn't know the first thing about him.
