The delinquents all crowded around a small screen which depicted chancellor Jaha. Over the last few days, there had been countless excited murmurs about the upcoming Unity day. Venus tried to mirror everyone else excitement however she had no clue what Unity day was or why it was so thrilling. She listened intently to the Chancellors tuneless voice as he gave a short speech. Her attention was quickly captured by Jasper as he marched into camp, carrying a large barrel of what she assumed to be alcohol.

"Whoo! Yeah! Monty strikes again! Hey! Call this batch Unity Juice! Who's thirsty? Monty! There you go." He shouted ecstatically as he held the barrel above his head. The delinquents all laughed and gathered around as he began to fill everyone's cups. Venus considered trying it, however she decided it would be best to stay alert.

She scoured the camp for Bellamy. He had been so preoccupied with training the delinquents that they had hardly been able to spend any time together since his triumphant return. Venus found him, standing watch at the gate. The rest of the guards had all abandoned their posts to join the celebration however Bellamy refused. "Hey, it's not like you to miss out on all of the fun." She said as she approached the older boy.

"Someone's gotta keep you idiots safe." Bellamy responded as he assisted her up the small hill that he was stood on.

"Right, because you and your one gun can single handedly stop an army of trained killers." She said with a sarcastic nod. Bellamy just rolled his eyes.

"Ha ha, very funny." He said in embarrassment as he lowered his weapon. "So why aren't you getting involved in all.... that." He cringed as he gestured to a group of drunken teens, stumbling past them and laughing hysterically. Venus looked at him with raised eyebrows.

"Come on, you know I'm too mature for that sort of stuff." She said in her poshest voice with a small hair flick. Bellamy just rolled his eyes at her poor impression.

"More like too boring." He mumbled. Venus gasped in offence as she glared at the older boy.

"Says you. You're idea of fun is standing out here on your own and staring at trees in case a grounder pops out." Bellamy just laughed and shook his head.

"Touché." Venus smiled victoriously as she turned to watch the delinquents celebrations. It was a foreign concept to her, there were no parties in TonDC. Teenagers spent their time preparing for battles and training. She envied the sky people and their seemingly relaxed nature.

"There's something I've been meaning to tell you, but I just haven't been able to figure out the right way to say it." Bellamy confessed, suddenly switching the mood from light hearted to serious and intriguing. Venus was about to listen to his big reveal when something caught her eye. She noticed Octavia sneak out of the camp and run into the forest. Venus assumed that she would be visiting Lincoln and a small smile slid across her face. She was happy for her friends and knew that they would be good for each other. However her smile vanished as quickly as it appeared when she noticed Finn follow Octavia out of the camp. Was he trying to catch Lincoln? A wave of panic set in; she had to stop him.

"I, um, have to go." Venus said as she made her way towards the hole in the fence that Octavia and Finn had slipped through. Bellamy had a combination of confusion and disappointment on his face. "We'll talk later, I promise." She shouted back to him as he just stared at her in perplexion. He considered going after her however, he thought better of it as he knew how much Venus valued her privacy.

Venus' instincts were right, she managed to catch up to Finn just as he was about to enter Lincoln's cave. "Finn! What are you doing?" She said breathlessly. Finn snapped his head round at the sound of her voice, she had clearly startled him.
