God. How did it even get to this point?

Oh right. Thanks to my bumbling stupidity, I lost my way; and now I'm stuck somewhere in the Shinigawa district.

Heck, I don't even know if I'm in Shinigawa anymore. I could be in Yokohama prefecture or something. I don't know how long I've been walking for.

I suddenly remember that I have a watch on my wrist, and I let out a gasp as I look at the time.

1 am.

Oh God. How long have I been stumbling around for?

I press a hand over my mouth again. It's fine, it's ok. Maybe I can find a local police station or something... that would work. Right?

Right. First off if you're lost, you find somewhere to get directions.

Gingerly, I step back out into the street, swallowing a sob at the sight of the crowds of people that I got swept up in. I squint, and in the distance there's fairly empty Starbucks across the road. I'll see where I am from there.

With my movements jerky, I pull myself across the road, and into the shop. The cashier instantly greets me, yet as I stumble towards the counter, she grows concerned and asks if I'm alright.

"Sumimasen (excuse me)," I gasp out, "could you tell me what part of the city I am in?"

She blinks at me, before saying, "This is East Shinigawa. Is there a problem?"

I let out a sigh of relief. Thank fuck. At least I'm still in Shinigawa. Knowing that I'm still in the sector I need to be helps my mental state a little.

"Gomenesai (I'm so sorry)," I choke out. "But would you mind telling me how to get back to the main station in central Shinigawa?"

If my hotel is near the station, I should vaguely remember the way back.

"Of course," she says kindly, with a smile. Holding out an arm, she points down the street. "The easiest way is to follow the whole street down for three junctions. Then turn right, and go up two streets. You should be able to see the station from there, on the nearest left, at the end of the road."

"Arigato kuzaimushta (Thank you very much)!" I exclaim, with a bow, and to show my gratitude, I buy myself a food item. I then leave the shop, bidding goodbye to the nice lady.

Ok. Three streets down, turn right, then two streets, then left.

Now that I have a snack with me, and I know where I'm going more or less, my panic begins to dwindle. I start looking around more, at everything that's going on.

Tokyo is a magnificent city; incredibly eye catching, with a lot of people and colours everywhere you look. It's fantastic.

As I come to the first junction, however, I start to feel my exhaustion take affect on me. It's been a long day, and even though I'm eating something, it doesn't have caffeine.

My eyelids grow heavy, and my steps grow heavier. The need for sleep becomes stronger and stronger, with every passing second.

Crossing the first junction is a nightmare for me. I trip and fall, and although people do stop to help me up, I'm still stumbling over the the other side of the street.

And this is only the first damn road...

I press a hand to my forehead. I've always had a bit of a problem with my stamina, so this isn't the best case scenario for me.

Yet, I push myself forwards with a tired groan, and continue trudging towards the next junction.

What if I don't make it?
