"After much deliberation," Mr Aizawa announces to the whole class, in first period, "we've decided that since All Might is not with us, we are going to take four students with us to rescue Uraraka."

A hushed mumble runs throughout the class. I sit up straight in my seat, suddenly paying attention.

"These students have been carefully picked because of their Quirks and abilities. Remember, the Heroes will be going deep into enemy territory, so the students have to be within our sight at all times."

"Sir!" Mina stands up, "What about the rest of us? Can we not help?"

"As I said, it depends on if your Quirk fits well for the mission. If the parents of the students don't want their child to go, they have every right to not come to the operation briefing."

"But-!"

"The students have already been picked, Ashido." Mr Aizawa cuts in. "If you're not on the list, you can't come, end of story. If I catch you coming without permission, I'll expell you. No questions asked."

There's a deadly silence, as Mina sits down defeatedly, trying not to cry.

"I will now tell you which four students are going to the rescue."

Anxiously I clench my fists, which are underneath my desk. I have to get on the mission, I just have to!

"Asui Tsuyu," said girl instantly looks up in surprise, with a broken "kero?". I wince slightly; I'd say Tsu was the worst effected by the whole ordeal. "You'll be coming along to help with Uraraka. There will be no doubt that she'll be traumatised, so you need to comfort her.

"Along with this, your ability to climb objects will be much needed, for the site we're going to." Mr Aizawa finishes, before checking the sheet he's holding again. "Next student; Sero Hanta. Again, your ability to climb around buildings. Much needed."

Sero looks a little surprised, but also sort of determined. If I get on this mission, at least I'll have Sero... he'll probably be the one I'll stick closest to. Of course, if I get on the mission...

"Next... Kaminari Denki."

Denki? Really? Of all people they chose crackhead boy?

"You're needed to disable the enemy. With the large amounts of electricity you produce, you can help get rid of many at once."

Ok, there's only one more student; it has to be me, it's got to be me... I have to go on this...

"And for the final student... there was much deliberation on this, but in the end we decided to keep them on the list."

Please be me, please be me.

Please.

...

"(L/N) (Y/N)."

I let out a sigh, before silently doing a small air-punch under the table.

"You'll be needed to freeze the enemies, so that we have time to get Uraraka and go. This operation needs to be as quick as possible."

I smile to myself; game on.

-----

"I can't believe you three are going!" Kirishima exclaims, looking extremely rattled.

"Me neither!" Mina adds, from next to me. "I mean, I can understand Sero and (Y/N), but Denki..." she lets out a small giggle, which I smile at. It's been a while since I heard Mina laugh.

"Denki will be a dead rat in a cracker as soon as he steps on to the battlefield," I clarify.

A shadow suddenly looms over me, and I look up to see Todoroki. "You smell poor," he states, making me spit out my noodles and choke on them.
