"Right," Mr Aizawa mutters grimly, "so they have Uraraka."
I nod, kicking my legs silently in the principal's office. My head is bandaged up, my arm in a sling; the teacher's had been too set on finding out what happened to me rather than sending me down to recovery girl, so they basically mummified me.
"This is grave news indeed," Principal Nezu states, "first Shiketsu was infiltrated and now us, also by the same person with the same method. If we're to assume Uraraka was taken while she was out, then we have little to go on from there.
"We'll have to start a public investigation. Not to mention one of our students were injured and had direct confrontation. This is too similar to the situation we faced last year, with Bakugo being kidnapped."
"I thought (L/N) actually handled the situation quite well," Mr Aizawa suddenly cuts in, causing me to turn to him slightly surprised. "They told Todoroki to go so that he wouldn't get in trouble, they got Toga to spill out most of the information we needed, and managed to stop any other students from being hurt, although taking on Toga alone was a stupid move."
"I didn't exactly have choice," I mutter, glaring at my feet.
Mr Aizawa spares a glance at me, before giving a slight nod, "I know."
"This is in no way your fault, (L/N)," All Might speaks, from across the table. "The school has slipped up, and unfortunately not for the first time. Once again we have lost a student," I clench my fists in my lap, "and further precautions must be taken. We'll have to make another public apology, and notify Young Uraraka's parents about what has happened."
"(L/N)," Midnight addresses me, "this has heightened this level of warning towards aspiring heroes. If Uraraka was out of the school premises when she was taken, there's no telling what could happen to you, especially when you live alone."
I blink in surprise, I can already see where this is going.
"And because of this, we've decided to talk to your parents and convince them to let you stay in the school dormitories." Principal Nezu finishes.
For a second, I'm a little bit stunned, but then I finally say, "Well... all I can say is good luck. My parents were adamant with me staying in my own place."
"With what has happened now, with you being directly attacked, it's now not a matter of their choice; it's the government's," Mr Aizawa replies. "If they think that it's unfit for you to live alone by yourself, then you'll be moved to this accommodation regardless of what your parents say. Besides, they aren't in the country, so that puts them on lower footing."
"I see," I mumble quietly, subconsciously running a hand over my arm in the sling.
"You're free to go back to class," Principal Nezu tells me. "Just remember that you've got to see Recovery Girl before you leave today."
Nodding shakily, I stand up and brush myself off; but then pause at the doorway.
"What about Uraraka?" I ask.
"As I said, there will be a public investigation opened, and-"
"What if that's not enough?!" I explode, turning around fully. "She could be dead by now! And the last time something like this happened, the Heroes ended up in deep shit! Not to mention that All Might was there!"
"(L/N)!" Mr Aizawa stands up, giving me a glare.
"What?" I spit back, furious tears clouding my eyes. "You're just scared that it's true, aren't you? You don't want to admit that this perfect Hero system of yours is slipping, don't you? Is that it?!"
