"The hell did you tell him?" I ask Katsuki, when he comes out of Mr Aizawa's office.
"I told him what I'd figured out," he answers in a growl, shoving his hands into his pockets.
"I- wait a damn minute," I chuckle, "what you figured out?! I helped! Actually, I got most of the clues together!"
"And I was the one who put it all together!" Katsuki barks, before grabbing my wrist roughly, and starts pulling me along, "Because you're dumb!" he adds, to rub salt into the wound.
"Excuse me?!" I rush forwards, and begin tugging him along, "I'm not that dumb! I'm perfectly aware that mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell!" I pause, and stop, turning around to stare at him blankly, "Wait, where are we going?"
"We're going to the Japanese embassy," Katsuki grumbles, letting go of me, "they've got some explaining to do."
"What do they have to explain? You still haven't told me jackshit yet!" I exclaim, throwing my hands up. "What is this, season 3 of Attack on Titan?! I don't want my life to be ruined by some big secret! I don't want to go to the basement of the Japanese embassy!"
"SHUT UP! For fuck's sake..." he slaps a hand to his forehead, and tries hard not to blow up. "The Johnson guy isn't dead!" he finally snaps.
"Well, yeah, that's granted," I retort, "so what does the Japanese embassy have to do with--? OH," I finally understand, the pieces slotting together in my head. "They want him alive, and away from the Iraqi embassy," I state, "the Iraqis want him for his war crimes, but they won't hand him over because he's a 'valuable resource'."
"Which is bullshit," Katsuki finishes.
"Yeah," I agree, "that's a whole truck of dog turd and cat piss right there."
"So," he raises an eyebrow at me, "are you coming? We need to get there before Mr Aizawa shows up with the Iraqis."
"You planned this?!"
"Yeah, how else is this book supposed to end somewhat smoothly?!"
"That fourth wall is damaged beyond repair."

"Why are you two here?" one of the officials questions, as we stand on the doorstep to the Japanese embassy.
"We'd like to know what happened to Mr Johnson," I lie, "it was our job after all."
"I see," the man at the door mutters, before letting us in, "I'll take you up, and you can get some explanations."
As we follow the guy, Katsuki tugs on my arm, and whispers in my ear, "There's a helicopter pad on the roof, which is probably where they'lltry take him out of the city. You get up there and stall, and I'll keep the others in there."
"Oh," I mumble, "are you sure I should do it? I mean-"
"Quit doubting yourself for one second!" Katsuki snaps, and then yells out to the guy. "Look, my partner needs the shit stall. I'll listen to whatever the fuck happened."
"... okay?" the man looks confused at Katsuki's choice of words. "They're down that corridor," he tells me, mentioning in the direction of the toilets.
I nod slowly, and prepare to leave, but as the other man turns his gaze away, so he can't see what we're doing, Katsuki leans down, and hastily presses a harsh kiss to my lips; he then shoves me in the direction of the bathroom.
