[TWENTY SEVEN]

We are going to skip a long and lonely process, dotted with occasional visits to (C/N), in which I spent my winter break alone, dithering around the questionable parts of Mustafa and looking at memes.

The day I have to go back to school is a horrible one; I am moody, tired, sleep deprived and feeling sad about not having seen practically a single person I know since the Tokyo trip.

Except for Bryan, who runs the Seven Eleven a couple of blocks down. He usually manages to get me the cheapest deals. Bryan is a fucking God.

However, as I sit down on the train, and stare at my phone in a melancholic fashion, I realise that I haven't even received word from my parents bout jackshit.

Eh, they're probably busy, doing what not, and so on. I mean, they do have a company to run...

... though still not a valid excuse to neglect your child to the point they don't remember you in their childhood. Bastards.

I groan, rolling my head around in annoyance, until it crashes into the person next to me.

"Sorry---" I begin to say awkwardly, looking up to see whoever I've accidentally head-butted, till I stop in confusion.

A very familiar face is in my view point, and to be honest, I hadn't expected him on this train.

"Todoroki!" I blurt out in surprise, pointing a finger at him.

He blinks impassively, "Yes, that's who I am, (Y/N)."

"Sorry, it's just I didn't know you took this line to school," I reply, feeling a little less awkward.

"I always take this line, after I come back from visiting... someone, and when I visit my siblings."

"So... how many times... wait..." I stutter.

"Yes, (Y/N), I have seen you quite a lot on this train, usually either half asleep or muttering obscure things to yourself as you watch videos on your phone." Todoroki states.

"Bruh," I state, shuffling away from him, "stalker."

"So, Frizzy," Katsuki barks, out of the blue, as we both watch Midoriya and Iida trying to kick the crap out of each other one the monitor, during battle training. "Why'd you come in with Icyhot today?"

"He was on the same train. I showed him the 'beat the parents' vine, but that was all." I answer. "Why?"

Katsuki spares me a glare, before looking back up to the screen. "You and Icyhot are rivals, not friends. Remember that."

"Hey," I frown, a little aggravated, "I can be friends with whoever I want!"

"Icyhot is a bitch," Katsuki barks, now fully turned to me. "He will fucking cook you if you let your guard down. So don't be friendly. That's the worst thing you can do."

"That's... kind of a shitty thing to say..." I mumble, scratching the back of my neck awkwardly. "I don't know Todoroki that well, but I'm sure he isn't that opposed to people. Especially after Midoriya screeched at him during the Sports Festival last year."

"Deku didn't do shit. He never does. Todoroki is still willing to stab someone in the back after leading them on, so all I'm saying is watch yourself. And also, something is up with Round Face today. Thought I'd tell ya."

I spare a glance across the room, to where Uraraka is standing next to Midoriya; she doesn't look unusual in any way so far, in fact she's smiling at something that Midoriya has said.

Though... there's a look in her eyes I don't like very much. Maybe Katsuki is right, and something is up.

I turn back to the screen, and subconsciously scoot closer to Kirishima, who's just joined us after chatting with Denki.

"Hey, (Y/N)!" he smiles at me warmly, but when he sees my face, it falters a little. "Hey, what's up?"

"Nothing," I say quietly, letting my gaze drop to the floor.

Kirishima blinks in confusion, but doesn't push it. I continue to think about Todoroki, that look in Uraraka's eyes and what Katsuki told me for the rest of the session.

-----

When lunch rolls around, I realise I need to hand in an assignment I forgot to last week, so I stroll up to the classroom to give Mr Aizawa my papers.

However there's no one in the classroom, which worries me a little, but I decide to wait until Mr Aizawa comes to check my essay.

"(Y/N)?" I turn, a little hesitant at the voice, because it's Todoroki. "What are you doing in here?"

"W-Waiting for Mr Aizawa to come back to check my essay..." curse my stutter.

"I see," he monotones. "I'm waiting for him to give mine back." With that, he goes round, and sits at his desk. "By the way," he adds, "have you noticed something up with Uraraka today?"

"I thought I was the only one," I frown, and turn to him, from where I am at the front of the class.

"She's acting a little... strange around Midoriya." Todoroki narrows his eyes, and I can almost see the jealousy in them.

Letting out a nervous chuckle, I mutter, "Well I mean... sort of I suppose-"

"Watcha talking about?" it's none other than Uraraka, who pokes her head around the door and smiles at us.

Todoroki stiffens, and I instantly stick on a facade. "Nothing," I smile nervously, "just how Mr Aizawa us taking ages to get here. We're waiting for him."

"Ah!" again, she smiles; but there's something very off about the way she does it. "I'm just here to pick up something of Deku's, he wanted it to study."

"You two are studying together?" Todoroki asks, his eyes flashing with jealousy again.

"Yeah!" she smiles. "Is that a problem?"

"Actually," Todoroki gets up. "It is."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that," Uraraka replies, nearing her desk, which is nowhere near Midoriya's. I see her reach into her bag and gets something, and although I think that Todoroki doesn't catch sight of it, I do.

"Guys," my voice wobbles, as Uraraka crosses over to Deku's table, "let's take it easy." I also weave my way through the tables and take a stand behind Uraraka, where she can't see me.

"I can't," Todoroki snaps, taking a warning step forwards, and glaring at Uraraka. I silently take a firm hold on the chair on my left. "Stop flirting with my boyfriend."

"Oh, is it that?" Uraraka laughs, turning to him. My grip tightens, and I slowly lift the chair off the floor, as she turns to face him fully, slowly walking over to him. "Are you jealous that Deku likes me more than you?"

"Why you bitch," Todoroki hisses, clenching his fists, as I raise the chair above my head, and step behind Uraraka.

When Todoroki finally notices me, his face drops, and he opens his mouth to tell me not to, but I'm already hurtling the chair into Uraraka.

She lets out a cry of surprise as it crashes into her, and Todoroki moves backwards to avoid her as she flies to the back of the class.

"What the hell are you doing?!" he shouts.

"Listen to me!" I yell back, "Get some help, go find Mr Aizawa or something! You don't have a Hero liscense, so you can't fight!"

"Why are you even fighting her?! She's our classmate!" Todoroki shouts back, but then pales in shock when he turns back to the girl.

Uraraka's form is melting away to reveal a sickeningly familiar person, also giving way to what I saw her take from her bag; a knife.

"Because it's not Uraraka," I say grimly, getting into a fighting stance.

Toga lifts her head with a maniacal giggle, "So, you finally figured it out, huh?"
