Chapter 9

4 weeks later

I haven't talked to any of the boys since my dad died. I've had my curtains closed most the time so Simon couldn't see me. However I've talked to Vik, him and his dad would come round sometimes just to comfort them. I told Vik about my dad so I'm guessing he's gone and told the boys. I didn't really care to be honest.

Talking about my dad I am actually starting to miss him. It's like at first I didn't know what to feel so I didn't feel anything at all but now I actually feel pain and I miss him.

Today is a Wednesday and I decided to go back to school. I know it's a weird day to go back on but I'm in year 11 and I've got GCSES coming up in a month.

My mum said she'll drive me so she does. I get to school and see all the guys standing outside apart from Simon. I walk over to them and they hug me. We began talking until Simon comes up to us with that girl that I had a fight with. I forgot her name. He was holding her hand and it pissed me off a bit.

Me: Hey Si.

I hugged him.

Girl: Get your own boyfriend bitch.

Me: Erm at least I didn't take anyone's sloppy seconds.

Girl: At least my dad didn't get murdered. At least mines not abusive. I ain't fucking sick like ur family.

Me: That's quite funny actually because I don't care that he's dead. Anyway why are you bringing him into this? Just because I took your boys virginity and now you're annoyed at me.

She just looks at Simon who was watching the whole conversation. Simon just shrugs his shoulders and we walk inside to our first lesson, English.

Teacher: Hello Kaylee. We're glad you're back. Has your mind changed on the love between Romeo and Juliet?

Me: I guess what I have learnt is that you can take anything if you want it enough.

I look over at Simon who was looking back at me.

Me: But then sometimes love is not enough and the roads get though, I don't know why though.

Simon's 'GF': Miss I just think people try and steal love off other people.

Teacher: But it's like what Kaylee said, you can take anything if you want it enough.

Simon: Not necessarily.

I just sit back in my chair and pretend that didn't just hurt.

Teacher: What do you mean Simon?

Simon: Well say if Juliet was actually in love with Paris then she wouldn't leave him for Romeo.

Me: But people are like that in this world Simon. Say they love one person but are with another. I think they should have just had a threesome to be fair.

Teacher: Kaylee don't say that. You can't write that in your GCSES.

Everyone laughs and stops paying attention to what's going around.

Vik: Kaylee are you ok?

Me: Fine

I smile at him and look over to Simon. He's still looking at me so I mouth "I still like you". He just smiles and looks away, carrying on with his work. I just didn't want to do any work so I sat back in my seat and watched everyone in the classroom.

It was now lunch time. I sat with the guys because Simon's girlfriend sat with her friends. I sat next to Simon and Vik. Vik is like my best friend and I know I can count on him.

Simon: You copied me.

Me: What do you mean?

Simon: In english. I said you can take anything if you want it enough first.

Me: Well is it true?

Simon: I don't know Kaylee. Don't ask me.

I just sit back in my seat. I feel like Simon really doesn't like me anymore.

Me: Do you still have feelings for me?

Simon: No why? Do you?

Me: Oh ahaha no. Of course not.

Simon: Good because I've got a girl now.

I just turn away from him and face Vik instead.

Vik: You ok?

Me: Ye-h

I say with a crack in my voice because I was about to cry.

Me: I'm going to the toilet, I'll be back in a second.

I get up and grab my bag before walking away and letting out a little tear. I get to the toilets to see Simon's girlfriend and her little group.

Simon's gf: Aww little Kaylee is crying, I thought you didn't care about your dad.

Me: Well it just hit hard. Why are you giving me such a hard time?

Simon's gf: Because you're a dirty little slag just like your mum and a psycho just like your dad.

Right that was it. I've had enough for her talking about my family. I walk up to her and knock her to the ground. I get on top of her and begin punching the shit out of her. However her friends were trying to attack me. I pull both of their hairs and pull them down I stand up and kick them both in the stomachs so they can't move.

I get up and walk out. I go over to the guys table and wipe my tears away.

Josh: You've got blood on ur knuckles Kaylee.

Me: Oh my bad.

I try and rub the blood off my knuckles and Simon just looks at me.

Me: What?

Simon: What is that?

Me: Period blood Simon. Do you want some?

I say and wave it in his face. He just slides away in his chair. We hear loads of screaming and crying coming from the doors into the lunch hall so all the guys look over there.

Simon: SOFIA!

The boys then all look at me and I just sat back in my chair with a smug look on my face.

Simon: What the fuck did you do?

Me: She talked shit about my family so I thought I'd rearrange her face.

Ethan: Well you did a pretty good job at that.

Ethan begins to laugh. Simon just death stairs him. Simon begins to walk off to his girlfriend before I stand up and grab his arm.

Me: I love you Simon.

He just shrugs his arm away and goes over to Sofia. I just grab my bag and walk past them, heading out the doors and out of school. I've had enough with this bullshit so I thought I'll try someone else.
