Chapter 14

Today was Wednesday. My mum booked me a doctors appointment just to check up on me and my health.

Beans is doing great. He loves his new toys he's got and he always sleeps in my bed. I kinda gets annoying because he's so big and he hasn't even stopped growing. He always gave me attention though so I liked him there.

My mum still can't get over the fact that I'm back. I still can't get over the fact that I'm back. We constantly have people knocking at the door and even leaving presents. I mean I'm no one special but I'll take free gifts.

Anyways I am sat in the doctors waiting room waiting for my name to be called with my mum. I start to get a bit anxious and my leg starts to shake.

Mum: Honey it's okay.

Me: I know mum. I feel bad for leaving Beans at home on his own. He hasn't been left alone ever since we got him.

Mum: Beans is fine. I left his favourite teddy out for him and a bone to keep him entertained.

Just then the doctor comes out and calls for my name. I get up and ask my mum to come with me. We get into her office and sit down on the chairs.

Doctor: Alrighty then Kaylee. So we are just going to do a check up today. How's your mental health doing lately?

Me: Are you stupid?

Doctor: Sorry?

Me: Well it's obviously not the best considering I've just escaped a kidnapper.

Mum: Kaylee!

Me: Sorry, I've just had enough with everyone thinking I'm some special person.

Doctor: Okay Kaylee, I get where you are coming from. Can you tell me what your kidnapper did to you. Your mum can leave if you want her to.

Me: No she can stay. He used to rape me, sometimes I was conscious sometimes I wasn't. He also used to hit me when he felt like it. I'm sorry but why do I have to go over all this again? I've already told the police.

Doctor: We just need to check a few things like if any damage has been done to your down below. We also need to check the tissue around your face as your cheekbones may be broken.

Me: Okay so are you going to look inside my vagina.

The doctor giggles.

Doctor: I guess you can say that.

I giggle at her. She's actually really nice and I feel quite bad for disrespecting her. She checks if I have any tears in my vagina and my face to see if I've got any broken bones.

Doctor: Right you have a slight tear in your vagina but that's ok because you just need to take corticosteroids. It seems that your nose is broken so we will transfer you over to the hospital when you can get that fixed and take these. They will help coping.

She passed me the corticosteroids and antidepressant. I take them and thank her. Off to the hospital now I guess.

Mum: It wasn't that bad now was it sweetie.

Me: I don't know. It was a bit uncomfortable telling you everything. I'm sorry you had to hear that.

Mum: I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'll always be by your side no matter what ok.

Me: Okay. Thank you mum. Oh and I'm going to see Simon tomorrow. I might bring Beans with me as he apparently lours men my way.

I laugh but my mum doesn't. I know it was a bad joke but Beans is just a trouble maker.

We get to the hospital and we wait for fucking ages. I thought the wait in the doctors was bad for 30 minutes but waiting 2 hours was just outrageous.

The doctor calls me through, I tell him what happened with my nose and he checks over it again just to make sure it was broken.

Doctor: Right, it definitely is broken so we will get that fixed straight away.

Me: Thank you.

We wait for a bit longer until the X-ray was free. They check over my nose and find the broken bone. They then quickly pop it back into place. (Idk how to fix a broken nose so let's go with this lol)

We finish up and walk out the hospital. I keep getting eyes at me by everyone. I guess I was a star in this part of London.

Me and my mum get home and she goes to put the kettle on. I go over to Beans who was sat on the sofa watching tv with his toy. I sit down next to him and he jumps up and onto my lap. I giggle and stroke his head.

I get my phone out to see I have a new message from Simon.

Simon: Hey are you still on for tomorrow? I'll come pick you up around 2. Is that okay?

Me: Yes of course. Can Beans come?

Simon: Fuck yes. I hope he remembers me.

Me: Well you did only see him for an hour. Beans is a big boy now so don't get scared.

Simon: Nice try, I don't get scared at anything. I'll see you tomorrow ily xx

Me: Ily2 x

I didn't really want to start on Simon. I mean I was thinking about him most of the time while I was locked up but I don't know. I guess I need to make myself better before I start anything. I know he'll wait for me anyways. No matter how long I take. That's what I love about Simon, he's committed. I've never lost any feelings towards him however I love Beans more than him.
