"seems like all's good. you're good to go," the nurse clasped her hands and plastered a big smile on her face.

"oh, thank you so much doctor," i bowed to her and i watched her leave my ward, which was my home for the past year.

"go and get your things ready. i'll wait for you at the driveway downstairs," father patted my shoulder.

i stretched my arms widely. after so long, i am now able to leave this hospital and live the streets of seoul. the thought of it made me smile. i can finally be free and happy.

then, a knocked halted my thoughts. i turned to see a boy, holding on to a paper bag smiling gleefully at me.

"oh, you're that boy from last month, come in!" i said while opening the door and gestured him to enter.

he looked up and smiled. the boy cleared his throat, mustering his courage to speak.

"hello jiwoo! my name is jaehyun, jung jaehyun. i'm the boy you met last month when you erm, first regained consciousness. you may not remember who i am, but i know you well, very well!"

"if you don't mind, can we restart, and be friends once again?" jaehyun smiled.

i was taken aback, my eyes widened and my heart somewhat palpitated. why is he doing this? ok, this is lowkey weird.

jaehyun looked at me with his shining eye smile while reaching his hand out, for a handshake with me, the girl who had absolutely no idea what was going on.

i extended my arm, giving him a firm handshake. we held the handshake for a good five seconds, while looking into each other's eyes for a solid moment.

"uh, jaehyun?" i broke the awkward silence and withdraw my hand away.

"right, sorry," jaehyun chuckled and placed his hand at the back of his head.

"oh yeah, i should get going! this is for you, by the way! i hope you'll like it. i'll see you around, jiwoo," jaehyun raised his hand for a wave, with a grin on his face.

"byebye! see you!" i waved back.
