Jimin and Taehyung laid on Jimin's bed, the two staring at the star covered ceiling.
Was there such a thing as platonic soulmates?
Hell yes.
Those are even more rare than Shadow Soulmates, they're called Sun Souls, otherwise known as light soulmates. These only happen during a hybrid eclipse, where the moon's shadow moves across the Earth, sometimes creating a V-shape. Though, unlike Shadow Soulmates, it isn't the actual people who have to experience it.
It's their mothers.
Jimin and Taehyung's mothers were not friends, hell the two women didn't even know each other before they had their sons. Since they were pregnant at the same time, Jimin being 2 months older than Taehyung, they both experienced the hybrid eclipse at the same moment, both outside looking at it. It didn't matter that Tae was a younger embryo, only that his mother was pregnant at the same as Jimin's.
The two both grew up in Tejomaya and unlike Shadow Soulmates, they need to brush against each other to awaken their tug. Once they hug, it goes away and seals their bond as sun souls. To feel their tug they need to be somewhere near a light, and from there a pull starts. Jimin and Taehyung both went to the same grade school, hence why they brushed against each other and realized what they were, more or less their mothers finding out how they were connected through re-search.
Their families ended up moving close to one another to keep the sun souls near each other, explaining why Jimin and Tae are so close, they literally are meant to have one of the strongest friendships on the planet. They rely on each other. Wind and Earth, Park Jimin and Kim Taehyung.
Sun souls are incapable of feeling romantic attraction for each other.
"I don't know what to do, Chim," Taehyung confessed, speaking about his situation with Jungkook and SeokJin, "It's not like I can choose one of them, and even if I could I wouldn't. It's not fair to them.."
Jimin raised an eyebrow, "Or to you, Taehyungie. It's not fair to you either," Jimin stated, now sitting up and looking at his best friend, his soulmate, "you can't be selfless all the time, it's okay to be selfish every once in a while."
"I can't choose, SeokJin and Jungkook both have their good parts and parts that annoy me. It isn't like we can all be together, even though that's what I really want. Fire and frost can't touch-"
"What if they can?" Jimin interrupted, causing Tae to raise an eyebrow, "Look at all the stuff we've been figuring out, all the truths we've discovered. I wouldn't doubt their lying about the fire and frost law. Plus-"
"Hoseok and Yoongi are getting close," they pointed out at the same time, unfazed by it since it's something they do all the time; it's not always that they speak at the same time, sometimes they do the exact same movement at the same second.
Tae shrugged while sighing, "Who knows, but even if they could, Jungkook and SeokJin wouldn't-"
"You mean Jungkook wouldn't," Jimin corrected, "SeokJin is mature enough to try, it's Jungkook that wouldn't."
Taehyung pouted, understanding that what Jimin was saying is true but not wanting to believe it. If they find out fire and frost can touch, would Jungkook be willing to give a polyamorous relationship between him, Tae, and SeokJin a shot?
He honestly didn't know.
Jimin held Taehyung's larger hand in his own, making Tae look at him, "If they love you, truly love you, they'll respect whatever decision you make. Just like you'll respect theirs if they decide that kind of relationship isn't for them. You don't have to suffer, Tae, you can be selfish."
Taehyung stared at his hands, Jimin's words ringing through his head.
Maybe he'd talk to the two later, but now, wasn't the time.

"Why aren't you going to do anything?!" Victor yelled as he paced Chancellor Yang, Akida's, bedroom.
The woman was seated on her bed, an annoyed expression on her face. "About what?"
"FERA!" Victor responded, staring at his lover and pointing at his bandaged nose, "She broke my fucking nose!"
"You're the one who tried to kill one of her fire elementals in front of her, what am I supposed to do about your mistake, Victor?" she inquired, tilting her head as she raised an eyebrow at him.
Victor huffed, "Take her off as Marshalle, you can find another-"
"I'm not doing that-"
"Why not?!"
"Because she's one of my best!" Akida yelled as she stood, using her wind ability and pushing Victor back against the wall. It was like an invisible hand was choking Victor as she neared closer to him, her eyes a cloudy white. "Don't get mistaken here, you're nothing more than a fuck buddy, per say, I don't love you and you're not my boyfriend."
Ouch.
Victor glared at the woman, his lips trembling at the lack of air going into his lungs.
Akida let him go moments later, Victor falling on the ground with a thump, he rubbed his throat as he coughed.
"When are you going to get over him?" the frost marshalle inquired as he stood up.
Akida scoffed, "I've been over Malchin for a long time, you're just no replacement and nothing more to me than a good dick; now get the hell out."
Victor rolled his eyes, slamming the door to Akida's bedroom as he exited, not caring about how much Akida hated the slamming of doors.
She sighed as she tilted her head up, memories of her life before whirring back in like a storm. A storm she didn't want to remember.
An image of a face popped into Akida's mind, causing her to furrow her eyebrows as she allowed herself to think a little more about the two faces.
One of them being Hayoon's.
Akida chuckled at her ridiculous thought, "That's impossible," she mumbled, standing as she shook her head to rid herself of the dumb thoughts.
Though, is anything truly impossible?
